No that's the crowds that watch it live that spoil it.

Your not alone in that opinion that's why British love a underdog/loser because they normally don't show any of the attributes you need to be a winner therefore are seen as a top person

Know just what you mean but still begrudgingly give him his due as an all time great, albeit his brilliance is now on the wane.
MVG looks like taking the game to new levels - utterly stunning when in stride.
Grew up playing (badly) and watching the darts (Wilson, Lowe, Bristow, Lazarenko, Reece et al) and love how it's grown. Currently alienating wife by watching Barney and Bunting.
Recommend 'Money' by Martin Amis as good arrows related read.

A don't get these who say it's not a sport.....I'm quite sure if you type darts into Wikipedia it will list darts as a sport!!!!

It may be played in a pub but who gives a toss?? A think the accuracy and skill they display is top notch....

But hey it's all about opinions.......you wouldn't think it on this forum though!!!

And football, I bet 99% of adult football teams in this country are pub teams, it's still a sport though

Pokers a game, a card game. I can never get the darts a 'pub game/not a sport' view when we have Olympic sports such as Rifle shooting, archery etc which are essentially the same!?!

Challenge away, what makes you say that?

All for a bit of debate, there's not much further you can take the debate when football is being classed as a pub game!
