Yes it is, look it up, it might not be in your opinion, but your opinion counts for nothing when giving games sporting status. You can keep saying it's not a sport but it is and always will be
Why not would be my question, cos of the class that play would be my thoughts. They're essentially the same sports. I agree it never will be, but I bet the archery/rifle shooting fraternity and competitors wish theyd taken up darts. **** the system!
Ok, to me it isn't a sport. It's a game and can be quite enjoyable! It's a debate you can have about a number of sports/games!
I would say they're not really sports either. You're probably not far wrong re the class of the participants. I would say sport has to involve a certain degree of physical exertion.
I would say sport has to involve a certain degree of physical exertion.[/QUOTE] Really?!? I'm not dissing the sports I've me mentioned, I just reckon Darts is on an even footing. Snooker, Pool, 10 pin bowling, Curling etc are all accepted.
Barney Bunting hotting up. On the Amis front Lucky Jim by Martin's dad Kingsley is the funniest book I have ever read.
to be fair mate, i think the original definition of the word sport has gone out the window now, and doesn't really have any true meaning. governing bodies just push for 'sport' status now, to raise profile and generate commercial interest. largely got **** all to do with their interest in the definition of the word chess is officially recognised as an international sport. ******* chess. ffs.
