    Holgate and Smith

The 2 players who actually looked up for it today.

I'm always a bit pessimistic when it comes to throwing young players in but they were head and shoulders our best players today.

agreed. considering how gash the rest of the team were in front of defence, i thought they were great. holgate in particular, growing with every performance.

Holgate was fab, Smith was ok. Oates looked up for it when he came on, although he didn't get much time of course.

Normally with young lads, their level of performance tends to diminish as a game progresses due to their level of fitness. However, I felt Smith started well and was getting better towards the end of the match. His tackling and distribution was sharper than some of his more experienced team mates.

They were both very good today but to be fair so were Nyatanga and Ramage.

Agree. He looked a bit nervous to start with but by the end of the game he was trying the long balls or putting balls in

I agree that Nyatanga and Ramage were good too, I just thought the 2 young lads were brilliant to say they've only a handful of appearances between them

    all back 4 played well

shame that Hemmings, Lita, Digby & Hourihane were useless & Jennings cleared the East Stand of pies at half time...

thought Berry put a shift in, if his passing was woeful also

I wouldn't have minded if one of them got the man of the match today.
