Apart from Oldham (ahem), so we know what the division has to offer, we know how poor we really can be, although I'm not sure we know how good we can be, but where do people think we will finish this season? I don't think we will go down but I would not consider this to be any kind of achievement. I think we will finish roughly where we are now, possibly a couple of places either side so between 14-18th, which I would consider to be a resounding failure. What I want to see between now and renewal time is an acknowledgement of where we are going wrong, and a statement of intent by bringing in a couple of decent PERMANENT signings in the window and some of the dross being moved out.
Depending on who we bring in in the window and if danny can sort it out Im still optimistic of a 8th to 12th place finish in what is still a close league at this stage of the season.
I think we'll finish somewhere between 12th and 18th. Not great but I never had any real expectations this season.
I think we'll finish around 11th. Any higher than 10th would have been an overachievement at the start of the season. We've struggled against the majority of teams in the top half, even a few of the ones we've taken points off however I don't think it's any coincidence that our form derailed when we lost Williams and Winnall. I'd be disappointed with a finish lower than 16th, however I think we'll have a stronger 2nd half to the season with the right recruitment.
Nah... We won't go down BL. Can see us being bottom 8 easily though. Too many passengers at the moment.
I really hope not but looking at the table scares the living **** out of me And with so tricky games coming up its not looking good So hope I'm wrong I do think if we stay up this season we will have a great season next I said at the star of the season I don't care what we do this season as long as we stay in the division and push on next Really impressed with the young lads been a delight to watch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's a given. Of course we need to improve. But with Winnall back to lead the line, young Kiwomya adding pace I hope, a couple of other needed additions then with the likes of Turnbull, Cranie, Ramage, Nyatanga, Hourihane, Berry, Bailey, Jennings, and the promising youth kids now involved, I would imagine it's very possible that we could put together a run that sees us involved in the shake up come the end of the season. I imagine Danny, the board and the players are giving their all towards achieving that aim too. Either way, we need to improve and hopefully get some kind of forward/upward momentum so that if we do still reside in L1 next season we can have a proper tilt next season with pretty much the majority of the same laikers. Course I'm optimistic. I'm not seeing things others are. I believe in my club. Clapping happily.
I wouldn't regard you as a happy clapper Andy, I just don't feel this season is anything but one of transition. Danny will really earn his crust next season when I think we can justifiably demand better.
It is a transitional season. I'm expecting little else. But I still believe we'll make the playoffs. I just do.
It will be another transitional season next year when he comes to the realisation that the majority of this squad int good enough.
