I'm patient with this new squad, but.......

Chandler scored an hat trick, will ferry 1 game, rigters a loan player, mostto never given a run of games and Regis only here as a swap for andy rammell

Mostto had a run of games, more than Hemmings has had, and cost us half a million.

Did you ever see ferry play (he played more than once btw) he is the worst player to have ever played for us in any position. On fact he may be the worst professional footballer of all time. Chandler was a truly awful player. Regis doesn't matter how he got here (Hemmings cost nowt and is probably cheaper in wages) he was much much worse than Hemmings. Msotto cost us a bomb and was *****.

Lita currently has a worse goalscoring record and is paid loads more can't say I notice much difference between the two.

The worst player ever is Fola Onibuje. 19 clubs - 14 goals. End of.

Yes seen them all play, and in my opinion Hemmings is gash.

Did you think Chopra was gash after ten games?

No I didnt. But we had him on loan from a premier league club, not a 30 Bob signing from the highlands league

Which is even more reason to give him time and support in my opinion. I don't recall Shipperley being amazing from day one. Went on to be my favourite ever striker.

Difficult to take you seriously if you think he's worse than Willy Ferry.

If Shipperley was your 'favourite ever striker'...then your easily pleased. You can tell pretty early if a player has potential and with what I've seen Hemmings has none. He just looks like he cant be arsed !

But Whitey he's showing no qualities at all, he doesn't have any pace, he doesn't contest headers, he backs out of 50/50s, he just doesn't have the overall work rate required at this level.
He may have been able to stand on the edge of the box at Cowdenbeath and wait for the ball to come to him but that won't cut it at this level. As Loko mentioned earlier he just appers to have this lackadaisical attitude. He gave the ball away numerous times yesterday (as did all the others in the team) but his attitude after giving it away infuriated me. He just shrugged his shoulders and didn't even bother trying to win the ball back. You would think being on a 1 year deal he would be keen to impress to earn an improved contract offer.
I really hope he proves me wrong in the 2nd half of the season and goes on to score a fair few goals but based on what Ive seen so far he's been a massive disappointment and probably conference standard at best.

For the goals he's scored, his finishes have been superb and sublime. I think he'll turn out to be a decent player by next season. Clearly he's now the number 1 target but I think he's shown enough ability when finishing to suggest there's an OK striker in there given time.

He started 9 league games in total (not in a row) For a player moving to a new country with a new language, I wouldn't class that as being given a run of games.

Thought he was a bit like Hristov in terms of his Barnsley career, but never got that second opportunity like Georgie did. Genuinely thought Mostto was a potential goal threat, we just never saw it.

    Proper LOL at that, pal.

I don't even know where to start.

He was absolute class for us. Led the line, won everything in the air, was as strong as an ox, linked up well with others, scored lots of goals, showed 100% commitment, passion and gave me some amazing memories to cherish.

Name me the better strikers we've had in the last 26 years.

I don't quite know why folk are still arguing with me. It's as though I've said he's brilliant. I haven't said that. All I've done is defend him from comments calling him the worst striker ever, I've offered up arguments for his defence. But I've admitted he's not been fantastic. I just feel that it's better to back and support him (and others) rather than write/slag them off after ten starts.

And Hemmings hasn't had to make a transition, no?

Hemmings has had a run, has he? No. He's had the same number of starts, in different positions.

One cost us good money, Hemmings didn't.

I am not bigging the lad up. I'm merely defending him from bloody OTT criticism.

    Worst striker ever? **** off.

Not having the best of days are you mate?

Cut out the last line of your reply considering it wasn't me who stated that as a fact or opinion. No need for it really. Currently if he doesn't improve and leaves at the end of the season he would go in the list you quoted earlier.

As for your point. Definite transition for Hemmings, always is when moving clubs regardless of when and to where. As big a transition as moving 5,000 miles for the first time in your career where you don't speak the language? No.

    Oreight, Miguel's agent.

My last sentence, daft lad, wasn't aimed at you. It was part of my explaining why I was responding. To OTT criticism, such as "he's the worst striker ever".

I've said this countless times now, but for those hard of reading, I'll say it again - Hemmings hasn't shone. He's been poor overall. No worse than Lita, but aye, it's not happened for him. I understand the mitigation though, the context, and I'll continue to support his and others' efforts whilst they pull on our famous red shirt. I've seen worse. Lots worse. As stated.

If anyone comes on here and tries making out such and such is the worst this or the worst that, I'll dispute it with them if indeed I disagree. And I'm sorry, but Kane Hemmings is nowhere near the worst striker we've ever had, nor do his displays warrant the stick he's getting from you and others. The fact you've defended Miguel bloody Mostto and Mark Stallard adds to the hilarity. Next you'll be telling me Groves will beat Froch, Eubank will beat Saunders and Chisora Fury.

    Night, Benji.
