Non Season Ticket Holders

I'm disappointed with the lack of incentives for non season ticket holders this season. I haven't bought a season ticket as I can't get to any midweek games. So far I've managed to see 4 games, as I can't justify paying at least £23 for every game I can get to. Last season there were some decent offers for certain games + a £5 discount for Supporters Trust members to fall back on. This season there's just been the usual cup discounts and a couple of 10% online offers. I expected there to be a decent offer this month, but there obviously isn't going to be. Yeovil, Port Vale and Fleetwood are now for sale and all are at full price. It wouldn't hurt the club to at least offer the 10% online discount regularly, especially if choosing the print at home facility.

Agree completely. Went to the MK Dons debacle at full price, discounted games vs Bristol and Colchester (£20.70 and £18 respectively), and then decided to do the Donny/Scunny games at full price. £23, in the context of this and the last 7/8 seasons, is an absolute rip off to see us play the likes of Yeovil, Port Vale and Fleetwood.

On that note I bought a half season ticket which works out at around £15 a game, which I'd be more than happy to pay per game for League 1 football. But if you have to pick and choose due to work/other commitments, then you're screwed unfortunately.

Edit: Just seen someone suggest a 3 match ticket on fb for the next 3 home games, which I think would be a great idea. £54 for the ticket, £18 a game means a fiver discount on each match, possibly enough to tempt floating fans to part with their money but not so significant a discount as to undermine season ticket/half-season ticket holders. But of course, nothing like this will happen.

 

Another round of wage bill trimming in the summer is just going to the product even worse too grim times ahead at this club

 

I like to take up the 'buy one of mates STs for a tenner coz he's not going' special offer. It's a catagorised offer.

Cat A - cant be Arsed going
Cat B - seeing his new Bird
Cat C - on Call at work
Cat D - still Drunk and cant get up
Cat E - Evening kick off so can't make it

100% agree. I haven't been able to justify a season ticket since I moved to Birmingham. I don't know if anyone does this already, but what about a season ticket you buy at the start of the season that has say 12 tickets in which you can use on any of the 23 home matches.

I've got no hope of getting to a mid week game, but the 2 hour drive to Oakwell wouldn't be so bad if i was saving a bit of money on the matchday ticket.

 

Given our patchy start and some of the games coming up a reduction to £15/£18 quid if you buy 3 consecutive tickets would seem reasonable.

 

I can't imagine they'll offer any discounted tickets for the next few games, whilst they are still hawking the half season tickets. Once that deadline has passed I would imagine the deals will start.

 

Completely agree mate, I live 150 miles away now so can't do midweeks so didn't bother with a ST. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to justify paying £20 + petrol to watch us and I've not been to half as many games as I thought I would this year, I've probably been to more aways than homes. What annoys me is that there is no attempt to cater for fans that don't live local or can't make certain games? They could have created a 'Saturday season ticket' for just the Saturday games or 'pick 15 games' ticket but nothing at all.
