Anyone want a piece of paper with Manchester United printed on it for £20?

Remember that time we lost to Yeovil in the 2nd round...

Oh I dunno. If we advertise that every game is against Manchester United and print their name on the tickets we could put an extra 7 or 8 thousand on the gate each match.

    That is a little embarrassing.

And then get hammered due to misadvertising/selling.

Surely it'll be worth a few bob in the future. Like the time we sold so many match day programmes for a game against Crystal Palace which was postponed a few hours before kick off, the few hundred who got a programme will be able to flog it for a lot more than face value in the future I'm sure.

The article says 'to commemorate their cup run'. The cup run that started in the first round and ended in the second, against Yeovil. If they make any money out of this tat then I will doff my cap to their marketing team.

But it’s not the same as something that was printed for an event that was subsequently cancelled and a few leaked out , they are deliberately printing “commemorative tickets” for a non-event.

It would be like us printing Barnsley v Portsmouth 2008 FA Cup Final tickets.

Though I’d rather we did a Barnsley v Barcelona Champions League final ticket.

There are actually some 1998 FA Cup Semi Final tickets in existence with our name on, albeit it says Barnsley or Spurs. They pop up on eBay every now and again.
