    It's just ridiculous how much money Chelsea have spent on players, they can afford to buy the best players from other clubs even if they don't really even need them. £250m for any player is just crazy but it sadly shows what modern football is all about. We could keep our club running for like a decade with that sort of money! (I have absolutely no idea what the real running costs are, btw)

    I don't really like Barcelona (or Real Madrid), but I've always admired Messi. For a proper star player he seems like a good guy, and I like it when a player dedicates his whole playing career for one club. Of course it's easy for him to be loyal to his club since he's probably the highest paid footballer in the world, but that's another story...

    Item about Barcelona on radio 5. Manager has been given 2 games to save his job. Apparently none of the team likes his attitude or training. Talk of bringing the election of the board forward to try and avoid a general meltdown of the club.

    Things really have gone wrong since Pep left.
