If we are looking to sign another kid that lacks experience when we've two of our own in an holding midfielder position it doesn't say alot for Digby or Abbott.
They've not said a lot for themselves when I've seen um, they could do with a loan move to jock championship turn um into misters
Doesn't say a lot for Bailey or Berry either. But they've all had a go now and none of them are specialists in that position. I'd say Abbott and Berry are more box to box midfielders. I'm not sure either will ever stand out consistanly in this league though. Hopefully they will. Bailey and Digby are more in the mould of Mcphail. They need to play alongside a very good box to box player to be effective though. Or in a 5 man midfield. Digby should be a lot more than that given his size and build. But unfortunately he can barely move around the field.
Just watched highights of him. Conan would love him. Personally, I'd have preferred some experience in there and certainly someone with strength. We're weak as piss in the midfield and it's just not Barnsley.
Re: linked with preston you say Preston tried to sign him in the emergency loan window - not sure there is renewed interest for January?
Oh, he's not another six yard square ball, can't tackle, no pace, can't beat a man, never scores CM is he?
Click on the link further up and there's 10 minutes of him playing for Man Utd's kids team vs Blackburn's kids. Then let me know if he's your cup of tea.
Re: linked with preston you say Fair enough! Lets hope Danny can work his magic and convince him we are a better option.
He hits the post later on and assists the goal. But other than that, it's a pretty poor example as he's allowed far too much time on the ball at that level.
