@TransferCentreL: Dundee United have rejected a bid in the region of £100,000 from Sheffield United for winger Gary Mackay-Steven. http://t.co/mJCAsIGIWy Are they having a laugh, they could get millions for him.
Not much chance that they'll get over £500k, never mind millions. He's out of contract in six months time, then they'll get nothing. Wouldn't be surprised to see us putting a bid in.
£400k was the fee reported earlier. Certainly won't go for much more than that seen as though he's out of contract in the summer.
ATM his contract expires in may so his transfer value is much reduced as he can sign for anyone for nothing then. Got to say your personal valuation of Gary and opinion of his worth is very interesting. Would you like to say how you come to this? Have you actually seen this lad play? I respect your opinion mate but I'm interested as to how you come to value him so lowly.
I'd be amazed, but delighted if we were in for him, didn't know his contract was up in the summer. Bigger and better clubs than us or the blunts will be interested, which means bigger wages too.
Whitey DUFC have come out and said they want GMS to fulfill his contract and have rejected all offers to date. Might just be playing hard ball but it looks like the club feel he is more valuable on the pitch to the club than any cash coming in.
From what I've seen he's a 1 million pound player. I know the Scottish leagues aren't brilliant standard but I think he's a class act. Obviously they won't get anywhere near that type of money due to his contract.
I can see that happening. You guys aren't short of a few bob (after the sales in the summer) plus it's all to play for in the league. Unless someone comes in with silly money (which probably won't happen) then I can see him staying. He'll be off to Rochdale for 10 bob now I've said that
Ive seen him play a few times, mate, i would have said he was worth a mil to a mil n half but he is out of contract very soon so that wont help! I wasn't trying to come across as been an arrogant two hat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
