I don't agree with bans on here, I believe in free speech and I said the same about the bans for Conan, thereev, Nightmare and even mrx. I didn't agree with the point Nudger made, I agree with you but I think Nudger should be entitled to post his opinion. Isn't it better to challenge opinion you don't like or agree with?
Maybe so but I just see this place as a bit like a cyber pub (without the alcohol) where we can debate and chat about anything.

But cant you see that's a very very grey area when alcohol is involved.........and as such should not result in a 5 year sentence. There are 3 people here that's been drinking - some are more drunk than others. Reading what has been written about this case - I think she has realised in the morning what she has done and who she has done it with (professional footballer) and thought I'll cry rape. And its back fired big time. Like Tarn Tyke said - if we start locking couples or individuals up that have had drunken sex then there's going to be hardly anyone left on the streets. On the other hand - if she hadn't been so drunk and made it clear that she didn't want to - and the incident still happened - then in my opinion he should have got more than 5 years.
This response is why his future employment as a footballer is causing so much angst. If you and your mates think what he did was okay and just a drunken one night stand then the people behind the petitions are 100% correct in their fears. She went to the hotel with somebody else. She didn't meet Evans at all during the night. He lied to the night porter, got a second key to the room, joined in. Now I agree this is not dragging her into a dark alley and forcing it on her but it's not far off. To top it all, he had his mates outside filming it on their phones.
Much too heavy for me all this vitriol and abuse being hurled about.. Roll on Saturday for more football related debate!
Oh so if he had committed a crime whilst everyone had had a drink its OK? Murdering someone whilst they are drunk is OK as long as they were deemed drunk and incapable of saying no? The more you argue the more (if that could be possible) I'm convinced he's guilty and got off very lightly.
