    It's an interesting idea and one that potentially could increase attendances creating a better atmosphere which could resonate itself onto the field of play inspiring the confidence of the home team.

    Not sure season ticket holders would be too happy though

    All for the greater good ;)

    They do go on to talk about possibly reviewing ticketing pricing for next season based on the results of this "experiment". So everyone would benefit from it being a success.

    It's the ongoing argument tho if they offered this and it was say a minimum of £2 and we got 15000 into Oakwell ok it would create a far batter atmosphere but also would increase policing costs ect. So the extra people on the gate would probably cost more in outgoing costs ect ect

    In the short term they are all very valid points. Argument is does the increased attendances benefit the club long term more than the small increased costs to look after the extra supporters?

    Also if it was "Pay what you can" would people really pay £2?

    I'd like to think I'd still pay full price.

    They may be in their infancy, we're not. We've seen 101 times that slashing prices has a minimal impact on attendances. There's a minimum cost of going to a match. If you below that, all it does is cost the Club money.
