It's a pity the bbc don't do an expose of their off shore accounts and tax dodging schemes

Hopefully that's why the BBC made the programme, to make the wider public more aware. We have an incredibly unequal society where the rich are getting richer and that is only perpetuated because the vast majority of people do nothing about it. The more people who are nauseated the better; they might get off their arses are try to something about it...

Well we as a country will have our chance to do something by voting the Tory fkrs out of power in may.

Unfortunately the labour party seem unable to put up a creditable alternative ATM.

    Bad situation we have.

Don't like watching programmes like that in the same way that I don't like watching the programmes about people on benefits. I think they're there just to make the working man angry.

My girlfriend had too fat to work on the other day. And a lady on that said her and her daughter don't get enough benefits to eat properly. Yet her severely overweight daughter was drinking 3 litres of coca-cola a day. That's 21 a week. That's about £25 on fizzy pop alone. I probably don't spend that in 3 months. She was hoping for her daughter to get the career of her dreams, without either one of them actually doing anything about it, other than complaining that JD sports only make clothes up to size 2XL.

    Aaaaarrrggghhh now I'm angry again.

    I agree Archey.

At one end there's a Karen Matthews and at the other a Philip Green.

Totally agree with Archey, can't watch these programmes because both extremes make my blood boil although don't have any objection to people getting rich from their own graft, its when its from tax dodging and one law for them and not for others that pisses me off etc

    Re: Vote Green then

Yes I agree with you there Brush but my vote will be going to the SNP. (surprise, surprise).
I'll be hoping for a clean sweep of Scottish seats and for the SNP to give Westminster another bloody nose and to stir everything up for the eventual winners.

I'm sure plenty folk will vote for the Greens but IMO they are unlikely to take many, if any seats.
Unfortunately Ukip seem to be the party picking up the vote of the unhappy. This could spell very big trouble in the country. The last thing we need is racists in power.

    Snp

Not sure I agree with voting SNP, that will only hurt Labour and contribute massively towards keeping Cameron in power (if you're a tactical voter). Besides which Nationalism in all its forms is narrow minded and inward looking - one reason why NOBODY should vote UKIP. If people want a REAL alternative to the rest of the Westminster rabble then I repeat, vote Green.

Were you disappointed with the referendum?

    Re: Vote Green then

If I were Scottish I'd undoubtedly vote SNP at the same time it's almost self defeating to any left leaning person as it will leave Cameron and the Burlington club millionaires to we tumble back into power meaning that the overall state of our countries will get worse. A countdown conundrum.

    Re: Snp

Oh yes, VERY disappointed mate. I sat up all night to watch the count and when the result was known it was like a death in the family.

The Labour party **** in their own nest here in Scotland by siding with the Torys in that election. Many Labour voters have left the party and moved their support to the SNP.
There has been a huge upsurge in SNP membership since that Independence defeat and with so called promises not being honoured and life certainly not becoming "better together", expect another Independence election soon and I have heard that declaring UDI could be an option.

TBH I can see Labour losing many seats here in Scotland and it won't be to the Torys.

Didn't see the program on tele.
But some on here need to get a reality check - its basically like this - all countries are competing for the super rich to live in their country - because they bring huge amounts of money into the country which benefits ALL OF USE - if they are taxed heavily here, then all what they do is move somewhere else in the world.
Therefore we need as many super rich as possible living here - which means low taxes.

It also means getting rid of the politics of envy view point.

As for the SNP - they are just a poor mans Labour Party.
If you want to stir the political barrel then the vote has to be UKIP - and that's who I will be voting for (after being a long term supporter of the Labour Party who could be described as a Blairite).

And no, I'm not a racist - I can honestly say that I have actually spoken to a black man :)

Nudger, you stated off well then let it badly slip.

SNP, poor mans Labour? Hmm I don't understand that one. SNP for independence, Labour for continuation of Westminster rule, which is no longer working here in Scotland.

Voting Ukip will only bring more misery and disharmony to the country and racial troubles on the streets. Not a good move.

Oh and BTW Nudger you ARE a racist.

The SNP could be called - the Breakaway Labour Party of Scotland............same left wing policies as Labour.
The problem Scotland has got is that they have two options that are both left wing - so the sooner they breakaway - and another Hadrians Wall is rebuilt along the present boundary - the better it will be for all concerned in England.

Labour has swung to the left under Ed - they only talk about poor people - they don't talk about Middle England (meaning the people that generate the wealth of the nation) and that's why I wont be voting for them.
They need to look and see how Mandelson and Blair did it - have they not learnt that vital lesson; that you need to take everyone in the country along with you if you want to win an election

As for being racist - please explain how you know me that well that you can call me a racist? This should be interesting.

OK Sorry Nudger you are right I don't know you and maybe you are not a racist and I apologise. But some of you previous posts and your last comment of I can honestly say that I have actually spoken to a black man, comes quite near to the bone.

Now getting back to the demise of the Labour party. I voted Labour all my life until Blair and his New Labour moved the party far too far to the right for my liking. Sorry I can't see what is wrong with a Government or political party looking after the poor in society.

I can only hope that the SNP sweep all aside in Scotland and make another bid to break free. I'm sure you will be with me on that one and wish me and my country all the best.
