I wouldn't be able to bring myself to give him a penny. Footballers like Treacy don't deserve to earn a living in the game. We should just sack him and take our chances.

I think Dannys getting a lot more stick than he deserves for this signing.

When we brought him in I dont think anyone objected to the 2 year deal. In fact I think most were excited by this signing. I was anyway.

Keith Treacy is an Ireland international footballer. He's played most of his football in the top 2 divisions and he's only 26. Not even half way through his career. He's still to reach his prime.

He played a respectable part in the promotion of a very good Burnley side last season under a manager who seemingly doesn't take any crap.

On paper we were getting a player that should be a class above in this league. In flashes he is a class above. His left foots an absolute wand.

In my opinion he was a no brainer. Even on a 2 year deal.

It turns out he's duped both Danny and Ben. But how were they to know he can't be arsed playing football anymore?

Him and his agent have obviously said all the right things. Probably similar things he said in his interview after he signed.

I'm sure Danny knows he's been duped again with this one. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Treacy was a gamble that could have been fantastic us. It hasn't paid off up to now but still time. We have to take a chance from time to time. I've no problem with that. Danny will get a bit of luck we deserve soon

Totally agree, there is only one person to blame for this and it isn't Danny.

Not blaming Danny. I'm asking how he passed the tests required to get a 2 year deal, and I'm saying that in his fleeting appearances so far he's not delivered. We're stuck with him for 18 more months, I'd like to think he can step up and perform.

The fitness tests are only basic. Anyone can pass them with a few months in the gym.

They're no problem at all for a professional footballer. Even one at Treacys current level.

It's the medicals they sometimes fail on.

    Agree with that

If I'm being honest I thought it was a good signing.

It's a scandal the lazy beggar doesn't appear to give a toss!

I'm gutted about Treacy to be honest, he's a player I've really rated in the past & he's been a massive let down.

If him & Jennings would've been fit & performing to how we know they can then we'd definitely be higher up the table.

Dunno. He's done very little so far. However, he must have summat. He played 31 games last season for a team promoted to the Premier League. Their manager obviously didn't fancy him in the Premier League and he wasn't first choice last season, but he played on a regular basis. He must be an awful lot better than what we've seen so far. And it's not like he's past it, he's only 26.

The days of players only getting signed if they are fit and given a shirt if they are fit are long gone. God knows what the fit players, giving it their all in training trying to push for a starting place think. Must be bitten lips all over the shop.

He was told by Dyche that he'd be offered a contract to remain at Turf Moor and play in the Premier League if he could get fit, and prove to him that he wanted it. Keith chose not to. Then waited until pre season had finished before signing with us. Clearly doesn't like hard work. Amazed that Danny doesn't mind players with that attitude.

He only started 9 games last season. He's already started 8 for us.
