Like I said to bellends at work, we've just taken six points from a possible nine with a team full of bairns conceding just one goal, with two eighteen year olds in back four, and it would have been seven had it not been for a penalty that shouldn't have been and a world class save

    Context indeed .

Not half. I admit to remarking to a mate walking out on Saturday that "we'd won but what a fking terrible game".

It wasn't a good game, but the fact that we had such an inexperienced and young team out there does lend some context, and if they can keep picking up points in spite of their inexperience then good on them.

Thanks for that, I had a random guess at about 21.

They have done well and deserve upmost credit

But let's look at the calibre of opposition we faced.

Get some points from the next 3 games and then we will have a more realistic idea of how there progressing.

We've given 14 players their football league debut this season. That's an incredible statistic that I reckon some teams promoted from the conference would struggle to match.

    It's quite an achievement.

If some of the lads make the grade I would like to think that a team will be built around them rather than selling them on the cheap when the first offer arrives on the table.

Due to shockingly short contracts we never have any choice and no matter if we got um for nothing we still won't turn down offers

It would be quite interesting to look back in 10-15 years at the team that finished the game on Saturday to compare their careers.

Bit like people looking at the Xavi, Messi, Iniesta, Puyol etc team

    agreed

last time Danny was here he took more than a couple of seasons to get it right, and as I recall his head was called for back then too.

Stick with him while this time next year but if no improvement it will be time to depart .

Relegation this season, I'm sure it won't happen thou, and he would have to go then

We'll finish closer to the top 6 than bottom 3, I'm almost certain of it.

I'd stick with him regardless. Next season we can really start to judge him.

I have always said on any of the Football leagues

and notice I do not include the premier league as that's a different story....

In the Championship and L1/L2 I believe there are 3 zones of 8. 1 to 8 the contenders... 9 - 16 the steady and the builders.. 17 - 24 the strugglers .. This season I am asking no more than a finish in the middle 8 ... 9 - 16 that would do for me . then hopefully next season we get in the top 8 the contenders... and if we do not make it then maybe perhaps the season after we do get there.

I more than suspect that if he took us down two years in a row, judgment will have been rightly made by more powerful others.
