Did anyone catch young Alec Kiwomya on radio pig tueday night. Did i hear right.... just before i lost the signal , young Alex say .....danny wants a top 6 place and we young lads aim to get it for him.....or words to that effect.... if so well said Alex thats the spirit.....
Heard his interview last week when he signed. He's such a genuinely enthusiastic lad who seems well chuffed that he's finally got his chance to play first team football. If nothing else I reckon he'll certainly give his all. We've had far too many loanees and players on short contracts who have just been in it for a pay day the last few years, it was very refreshing to listen to a lad who genuinely was excited by the opportunity.
This is why youth is better. you get more players that give a **** because if they dont stand out, they'll not make it
He looked spritely enough on Saturday, but I expect lalkovic to replace him at donny. A lot more to come from him..
Nine other teams above us, and still closer to the bottom 4 than the top 6. We've got a long way to go in terms of performance IMO, to be threatening top 6
His interview was very positive. Comedy phone in of the the night was a tie between the fowl who scored every aspect of their season so far (fans, results, tactics, manager, etc) as 10 / 10 and had a go at the presenter for daring to be so stupid for not thinking the fowls would be promoted. The Donny caller went something like this: Presenter: Will you win tonight? Donny fan: No Presenter: Not confident then? Donny fan: A bit, we'll probably win. Presenter: So you'll win? Can't you decide? Donny fan: We'll probably lose but we might win? Presenter: Have some confidence. Donny fan: We'll win, but we might lose and if it was a league game we'd probably draw.
Seen a few make out that Kiwomya deserves to lose his place to Lalkovic. It's worth noting that Kiwomya was excellent for the first 20 minutes until they started to kick him out of the game. Lalkovic then had the benefit of coming on against 10 knackered men. If roles were reversed we'd probably have a forum full of people praising Kiwomya for coming on & looking the business
tad defensive sir, if that's referring to my earlier comment. i've only praised kiwomya. just thought lalkovic offered more, and would like to see him start. as others have suggested, maybe we could fit both in..
i know there is a vast gulf in skill and quality but AK reminded me of a certain Neymar Be nice if he turns out to be 1/3 as good! Both him and Milan could really add bite and creativity to our side. Ive not seen the off the ball movement that AK provided for a long time down at Oakwell. Lets hope we dont knock that out of him with hopeless long balls. He wants ball to feet and to turn defenders. nice to see for a change. I also thought Milan looked to have premiership quality about him and he reminded me of Adel Taarabat.
Lalkovic seemed to play most of his games for Chelsea with the number nine on his back which suggests to me that he should be in there at Lita's expense. As he is ex Donny as well playing him from the start seems like the obvious move. We need to get at them right from kick off and this time, when we take the lead, blow them away
No not at anyone in particular. Just that I thought Kiwomya looked really good early on before he had the **** kicked out of him
