Anyone think this could be end of him? This new lad says his best position is Infront of back 4, we also have Pearson there and possible Digby
Dont think it's the end of Bailey yet. He's been poor but I think his lack of form is more down to confidence than lack of commitment. Played in the right position he could be very effective for us.
Hope not and I doubt it. I think he'll be a much better player with a strong tackler at the side of him. I think he's a very skilful player.
I like watching Bailey play, his passing range is one of the best I've seen in recent years. I'm pretty sure he'll still feature in the plans.
was thinking the same. Not yet made his mark and found form. Will struggle to get back in the side if Pearson stays. I know very little about the new guy, but at 21 i would anticipate he prepped and ready to go straight to the first team rather than one for the future. And reading comments he sounds like the player we hoped Bailey would be... Mmmh
Agreed, he's highly rated at Utd, I'd be happy if we could hold on to him until the end of the season
Not at all. I don't think you become a bad player over the course of a few games. He was one of the obvious players to go off the boil around October time but I believe he's still got a role to play at this club, he may just need a different player alongside him. Pearson in the short term could be ideal, and maybe Scowen in the long term.
It's up to Daniel & Benjamin and no one else, people on here moan about relying on loan players, others moan about having a big squad, with injuries you have to have one or the other and quite frankly while we all have the right to voice our opinion it means fu'ck all, the manager picks the team and knows how he wants to go about doing things, and that's what he'll do, we've just got to back him, and stand by him , he's one of if not the most experienced managers in this league, if he doesn't know what he's doing no one will.
He isn't a defensive midfielder thats why. play him behind the strikers and he'd thread tons of balls through. He's Hourihane but better at passing but **** at shooting
So if we sell Hourihane we'll be alright then, get wingers in who can replace Conor's goals everyone's a winner
No. As people have mentioned he isn't a defensive midfielder. He has been the closest thing we have had to that position until now and so has been labelled and therefore judged as one, but he definitely isn't one. Playing in a midfield with Pearson/Scowen or both will allow Bailey to do what he is good at. Even as a defensive midfielder I wouldn't say Bailey has been any poorer than other midfielders at times this season. Maybe the expectations were higher for him as he didn't sign from Plymouth or Cambridge.
Not a chance - this may be the start of him though. He's been coasting through a lot of games, and by coasting, I mean not doing much of anything really, and that's because there was no pressure on him from anyone, his place was pretty much a given - now, not so. This may hopefully give him a kick up the backside and get him playing like he can.
