Going to be driving to donny this time wondered if anyone could help me out with where is the best place to park?

Alternatively if parking isn't good, how is the train for getting there?

    Cheers!

Plenty of parking, but normal rules don't apply at that hole, normally the closer to the ground the better here you need to park away from ground, I go for a ten minute walk away.

Lakeside Village shopping centre is five minutes level walk away and there are no time restrictions or barriers - obvious place to go.

Railway station is some distance away - maybe 20 to 30 minutes walk?

Also there is no train from Barnsley - you'd have to change at Meadowhall

all around the stadium there are unit's that charge for the use of their car-park, behind toys r us at the lakeside village shopping center you can pay to park there.
Beefeater, call in and have a meal / drink and ask if you can leave the car there, alternative for a 5 min walk around the lake, there's ASDA, the Dome and a parking near the bowling Alley / Cinema and just walk past the lake, (no more than 5 mins)

I wouldn't go by train personally, as its not too far of a walk but far enough, (especially with how cold it is)

You don't pay to park at Lakeside. Totally free and no time limits

that is true, but it's also get crammed very quickly, with Shoppers and Home Fans, behind Toysrus you have to pay, (this is new) and the other industrial units around you also have to pay.

Thanks a lot guys. Think I'll definitely go with the driving option then, might try lakeside first and if not then I'll head to one of the industrial estates I think.

Plenty of parking at lakeside then? (never really been)

Yes there is plenty of parking there. Get there in good time before the last minuters turn up. Nice shops there plus Beefeater and a really good lakeside walk if u are feeling energetic. All within sight of the ground

Park anywhere in Donny, its what the locals do, until they get moved on.
