What did that poll say? Most fans still behind wilson. Understand he's still building (or rebuilding the ***** he was left with) on a shoestring budget. Can understand people being pissed off after a rubbish game like that. I just don't understand how people don't see it's going to take more than a season to correct the rot that multiple managers have let set in. Who else would come to barnsley and do any better? On what we can afford to pay?
the player budget is the player budget. overheads are irrelevant. we've played the budget card as long as i remember - and many times, rightly so. we can't play that this time i'm afraid.
Shoestring budget?? He has had more backing than most of our past managers put together, 250k on Hourihane, 250k on Winnall, Ramage, Cole, Dudgeon, Waring, Pearson, Kiwomya all on loan, fees on scowen, berry etc For league 1 I would say that's quite abit of money spent
Fair enough agree we've spent a bit this year. But people blaming wilson for us getting relegated can't use that as a reason. He had peanuts to play with. So we've prob spent £1m or so on fees, loans, and wages. If that. That is hardly massive to try and rebuild a whole squad. Now he's assembled something like the squad he wants, although minus a bit of experience, let him have this half a season to see if he can't get them into a team. And make an assessment in the summer. Think we'll comfortably stay up when our best defender and striker are back and the team starts to gel. Everyone entitled to their own opinion. Mine is we'll see us improve. Perhaps take a few weeks.
I've decided whoever and whenever our next manager is I am going to come on here and whinge every time we lose because that won't be irritating will it?
One day someone will invent a place where fans of all sorts of views can offer their opinion for people who choose to, can comment, agree, disagree etc. A place to celebrate success and the same place to whinge and criticise failure. It will be a sort of forum where a whole variety of opinions can be freely expressed, and the value would come from the diversity of views. Welcome to the BBS
Expressing your views is fine. Do it with wit imagination and a bit of intelligence. Maybe try and be funny occasionally. Spouting the same cabal ***** again and again is just wearying. Support your team surely that's the point. Like I said whoever the next manager is everytime we lies it'll be Bob Paisley/Brian Clough/whoever tha ***** from me just as a little experiment.
this forum has been wearing for some time, we keep coming back though for more. I think our BBS is perhaps more negative than a lot i read but hey ho it is what it is
