Actually, no I'm not. The attendance goes up on here when we lose. Where were Twillo and others when the same (ish) young inexperienced team WON last week ? Nowt to say then, but back they come this evening. I can't defend the performance, we never looked like scoring, but ffs we lost by the ODD GOAL against a team of seasoned campaigners. Same signs of positivity as last week in my eyes - they are a young team, growing and will lose games as they grow. Some of you have got more hours ****ing under your belt than these lads have pro football matches. So yes, disappointing day out, but we move on. Still behind the manager and ideas and still laughing out loud at some of the contradictory opinions people on here have.
I agree Andy. I also feel that there is not even a hint that PC will pull the trigger so Danny will get the time he needs. We've got to stick with a manager at some point and I've got faith that Danny is still the right man to lead us.
I still want Danny to keep job and bring our young team through . Just want us to be able to pass to each other and show more effort than today though
Unfortunately, I haven't got time everyday to log on and comment but I was on my way back from doncaster and couldn't think of anything else to do. Today was ********, last week was **** against Yeovil, as was Preston, as was Leyton Orient as was most of the game this season. I've only missed a few this year and despite me not logging on here every hour of the day like some sad ****s, I can have my opinion. Ta
Turnbull Didn't really have that much to do to be honest. Kicking not the best from the floor Holgate Steady, think he was at fault for goal, was it him who lost out ? Nyatanga Few nervy moments early on and never looked as composed as he has previously MVoto Strong in the air - he tried with his distribution but it is not his strongest point. No complaints Smith Seems to have got some stick tonight but he tried and his positional game was good. Struggled distributing but didn't always have an outlet Jennings I'm a fan but that was the poorest I have seen him. Terrible. Berry Him and Hourihane just didn't look up for it, not for the the first time this year. Anonymous. Most games I have seen this season I have not realised he was playing. Hourihane Him and Berry just didn't look up for it, not for the the first time this year. Chances to grab the game by the scruff but the battle was over by then Kiwomya Good pace, promising positions, a few decent passes. Not the worst performer today. He can look up when he gets it. Others take note Waring A willing runner but could still be playing now and he wouldn't have scored today. Tried to be physical, which is worth a mention. Lalkovic Looked a livewire and willing to take a man on. How many times did he look up to find a runner, only to find there wasn't one. Lita Not a big fan but I thought he was quite effective when he came on. Phenix Not good on this showing. Looked like he wanted it but nothing came off. Wilson Am still behind him - I think we lost it in midfield and can't understand how he couldn't see that. Had the courage to stand by his new signings but this week it didn't come off. An attacking line-up like that should have mustered a few more shots on target
No prob Twillo, every one can have an opinion. But its gutting leaving home at 11, sitting in the cold, seeing a poor performance then coming on reading a lot of what I SEE as negativity. I used you as an example but there are plenty of others. Bottom line, we can't start all over again, again. Can we ? No hard feelings
No hard feelings taken lol It's also gutting for me sitting through the same dross week in, week out and people just denying we're ***** and sticking up for Wilson bcos of the past
Also drawn a blank for the third time in four matches and against a team with one of the worst home records in the country.
but the reaction of some is that we lost 7-0 and the world is going to end at midnight. As stated, not a good performance .......... but that's all
I think this is a bit of a myth to be honest. From what I've read the vast majority of people who want us to stick with Wilson, myself included, do so because they feel that the cycle of replacing managers every time things get rough isn't working. I haven't seen many posters stating that we should keep him because of what he achieved in his first spell, amazing though that was.
What he achieved first time is folklore, but its all history. I can't really comment much on his first spell cos due to work I barely saw a match. Am able to watch this spell and take heart from the comments after matches such as last week where folk DO seem to be behind the long-term thinking and see yet another change as just pointless. So I am behind him for what he is trying to do, not for what he once did. And yes, today was poor
An attacking line up like that should have mustered A shot on target. Did we have one? If we did that must have been when I was asleep.
