That word "apparently" covers a multitude of different meanings.

Yes they do pal seen it time and time again, if you travel by train and have a drink you're a thug, I've never had problems, but I don't travel in a group bigger then three, but seen people get trouble from plod lots of time because they're seen as a risk just because they're in a large group, it's the reason I normally travel early so you're not arriving at the same time as everyone else.

People need to be careful of what they are saying on this subject as the Site Admin prefer that this topic is swept cleanly and efficiently under the nearest carpet that is available.
Consequently anyone mentioning the reality of the situation is very likely to get banned from this message board.

I've travelled by train and I've been kettles which I didn't particularly like, I've also seen the police be a little heavy handed but I've only ever seen them get physical with people who were misbehaving. I'm not defending them but crowd control at football matches must be a nightmare.

anyone reporting facts will be fine. anyone glorifying football violence, based on fact or fiction, will be rightly banned.

The reason I mentioned this was to make Barnsley fans aware so they could try and avoid if possible

I'm sure Gally and all the other admin guys will appreciate that

I could be drawn in to this debate but the concern is that there is a risk of censorship with any debate that touches on this subject - a subject which seems to be increasing as part of Barnsley away days.

So I will decline - and under this censorship it may be appropriate in the present climate just to say - Je Suis Barnsley.

And before anyone else jumps on the 'sheep trail' otherwise known as 'lets abuse Nudger because everybody else seems to' let those with a few brain cells stand back and produce evidence before any accusations are made.

I once got thrown to the floor by a copper when we played Derby at home, still have no idea why it happened or what happened. All I remember was some power struck fat ******* shouting 'cmon lads get a move on now' and before I knew it I was on the floor. South yorkshire coppers are a disgrace.

If you don't know, then you obviously don't need to bother.
