Can I just point out in the general mood of depression from some on this BBS ....

7 (Seven) YES...SEVEN!!!! points off the playoffs with a game in hand and some are talking about relegation mid January!.. FFS they are young lads learning the trade. Uncertainty and lack of confidence from inexperienced young players who have not had half a season playing together yet. Constant sniping when they lose (albeit with some pretty abysmal performances) and yet 2 or 3 wins on the trot and they will be seen by some of the same 'doom-mongers' as 'World beaters'.

DW obviously teaches lack of ball control and poor positioning and how/when NO to put in that important challenge in training sessions, so it is clear that he must be a crap manager and it is all his fault. We clearly have dozens on this forum far more experienced and knowledgeable than DW so why PC wasted his time and money recruiting an ex-pro footballer and manager with 1000+ games under his belt I have no idea when he could have simply picked some guru from these posters.

I am not a 'happy- clapper' but I despair of this BB sometimes I really do!

Finally!! It's been hard work but I've found someone on the BBS talking sense.

To say how bad some of these performances are, we only lose by one goal in the majority of them which suggests if people actually gave this young squad time then towards the end of the season results and performances will be consistently better as it doesn't take much to succeed in this division. Just need the players to get more experience under there belt... oh I forgot young, inexperienced players should be playing consistently brilliantly every week. It boggles the mind how some on here seem to have that view.

 

3 points off the bottom 3.
This squad can't get the basics right under Wilson, so it's going to be a while yet before performances and results improve.

 

Why can u mention play offs but we cant mention relegation?? U do realise were more points off play offs than we are relegation zone??

If we got relegated, i'd do the marathon naked.

We've played against the likes of crewe, yeovil and orient and we are a lot better than them.

Inexperienced players will sometimes panic and not act on instinct if that's what you mean by 'not doing the basics right'.

 

My training will consist of drinking and takeaways

 

If your that confident we'll make the play offs then I will bet you £100 we don't and the winner donates the money to a charity of Redfearn's Bars Choice.

Where did I say I was confident of the playoffs? I think mid table is a reasonable target for a young inexperienced side at this stage. My point was about all the doom and gloom and mood swings on this site.

 

Perhaps its because were witnessing Pub Team performances week in week out

 

We've won two and lost two from our last four league games. Scoring four, conceding two. One a sticky penalty, the other a great late winner. We're missing key players in Cranie, Ramage and Winnall, we're fielding the youngest starting XI's in our history, and there's still half of a season remaining.

It's not as black or white as some suggest. It's fine margins.

Most of us think we'll be fine. Some of you think it's as bad as it's ever been.

I find that the ones on here backing him are the ones who attend very little amount of games or just home games. If you see what I see every single week, home and away I'm sure your opinions would change. I've read hundreds of comments saying 'I wasn't at the game today so I can't comment but danny should stay in charge'. How on earth can you comment then? I remember getting on the mini bus back from Preston and one of their fans said 'you're the worst team we've played all season' and this seems to be what every one fan across league 1 is saying. It says a lot when we got battered away at yeovil and then they were again disappointed to lose to us at oakwell. It's not the players, it's formation and his bad management and it's easy for everyone to see, apart from those blinded by his one moment of magic to get us to the PL.

I'll give you one thing though, I wasn't at the game yesterday and thus I haven't give an opinion on any part of that match. But because I've attended lots of our other matches this season I feel ably qualified to form an opinion on the situation at present and I often share that on this 'ere forum of ours.

If because you attend, home and away, every week, you think your opinion/view has more credence, fairy snuff.

But aye, can you link me to those hundreds of posts you referred to? I've not seen any myself. You've not just made that up have you, you know, in a vain attempt to back up your prejudiced agenda?

 

That last line is a load of bollax I think the majority of people just don't see the point in sacking a manager again when it doesn't mean things will automatically get better.

I dunno why these anti-Danny posters keep referring to his first spell. It's irrelevant.

 

Really the moan from me is about the complete lack of common sense from the management,it seems to me yesterday Mr Wilson has played a 433 or maybe even a 424 with just Berry in the middle who is not good enough,he`s kick digger out (who IMHO is the best one we have only people here cannot see that)Hourihane is ok for a few goals but it seems to me that is it,once again we have loan players coming in after we have been told there wasn`t going to be any,they have to be in the team or whats the point of having em,I do not think there is any long term plan,or even a short one for that matter,next week it will be a different team different plan we`ll get done over 3 or 4 nil,the thing is it keeps happening time and time again,each manager is the same,there must be something in the water at Oakwell,it would just be nice if we could get some common sense from soneone down there

 

It is irrelevant, but in that first spell Danny got dogs abuse the first few months, water off a ducks back. It took him time then as well. Some folk need to chill the **** out. We will probably lose next week too, this has to be a long project.

 

Thanks Tyrone, oh and only a few goals? What about assists too. Where the **** do you think we'd be without his goals and assists?

 

It feels like I'm supporting a different club at times at the moment, we are now trying to do the things a lot of fans have asked over the years but now getting beasted because it's not showing signs of instant success yet. Keith Hill would have been bairning at some of the **** that Danny never mentions.
