4-4-2 worked well, defence looked solid with Holgate & Mvoto at the cb with Williams & Smith fullback. Digby and Hourahane got forward and created for forwards, and Lita's experience showed and he linked well with midfield and attack... Ok, Pearson was stand out player and covered alot of ground.

Was both Pearson & Digby injured? We missed them both!

What formation did we play on saturday 4-2-3-1? What ever it was it didnt work.

From memory When we have started games playing 4-4-2 this season we have played well and won games?

Lads need to realise that you need to shoot to have a chance or scoring a goal. Numerous times we were in key positions but failed to pull the trigger...

Clear that experience needed in central midfield!

Pearson was injured but would it have been to hard to just swap him with the new lad.

we can keep making changes every week.

Danny's biggest flaw was making so many changes after victory last week. He only needed to make like for like personnel changes for me. Why he left Scowen out is a puzzler.

Agreed. I thought Berry, scowen or even George Williams could have stepped into the Pearson role... Lalkovic getting some flak but midfield were weak again! And experience lacking in all areas. Lita may not have scored recently but work rate, movement and link play have made a difference... These young strikers expect good service, time on the ball and are not yet used to physical demands of L1. Lita and Winnall are both experienced at this level and it shows

Sounds like Danny has got his diamond with Hurahan in front, Berry on the right, Scowen at the back and Jennings, or the new winger on the left. The rest are cover while we set it up. We have the players now, we need to settle into a system. The problem we have now is that bringing in so many in the window, it's going to take some time for them to get used to playing together. We don't want to gave the best team in division 2. Not surprising that Donny's experience was too much for our lads.

The biggest problem is the constant changing of the team, it's hard to get any rhythm and consistency going when there's 4-5 changes every game. It's no coincidence our best spell came when we played virtually the same team for about a month around the time of the Sheff Utd win.

A lot of it has been unavoidable, with injuries to Cranie, Winnall, Dudgeon, Ramage, Jennings and then we've had Cole go back to Man City but sometimes Wilson's changed the team for the sake of it.

We already had to make 2 enforced changes Saturday through injuries to Ramage & Pearson, do we really need to add to it?

I don't think any of us would consider playing a midfield 2 of Berry & Hourihane, it's way too soft, particularly in a local derby away from home.
