I look at the way we set-up and wonder how are we trying to score goals. We have some really good players and never seem to impose our way of playing on them by being offensively minded and upping the tempo, give them something to think and worry about. The creative midfielders don't have options on the ball so just tend to give it away, as we just match up s there are 6 in the middle of the park, and there is no room to go through it, and we play at a pedestrian pace. I am sure it would be better for the younger lads development to have a simpler system to play in, and let them go forward. I think an experienced manager is the way to go forward and Danny has plenty, we have tried inexperienced and semi-experienced. Lets take the chains off and start going for some of these teams with the talent we have.
To build a successful team we first have to set a foundation to build on. This foundation must be stability. On Danny's appointment. His first job was to stabilise. After relegation again the priority was to stabalise. We had clubs not doing too well, Port Vale, S****horpe and recently Gillingham, these clubs made a change, stabalised and some are starting the building process, then there is us, stuck at the first hurdle half way through the season, still without a foundation to build on. I find it difficult to accept we are on the right road when other clubs are solving their problems in a fraction of the time it is taking us.
Will the policy still hold if we drop into league 2 then? I'm all for developing young players but you have to blend then with experience in key areas. Anybody that thinks relegation is not even a threat is kidding themselves. We've been dross for weeks now and Saturday was the lowest of the low.
Sorry but things have got worse not better and probably will continue to stagnate with Wilson at the helm. 12 Months on things are worst than ever and to top it off his Post Match Comments are laughable. Saturday was abysmal and if you want more misery the the chances are you will get it. £46 I lashed out on Saturday and I would have had more fun watching a Greyhounds ******** shrivel up in the Freezing Weather. I said it Saturday and will say it again, I will give £50 no make that £100 to a charity of Redfearn's Bar Choice if Wilson gains promotion to the Championship during his current tenure with us. Its a Win Win for me whatever happens.
To be honest your prejudices against Wilson impact on your thoughts and feelings it comes across in everything you say. That's fair enough I was pretty much the same in my feelings towards Keith Hill. As a regular away supporter there's been a definite improvement this season Post match 99% of all managers are circumspect again attacking young players publicly would not be the best way to develop and improve their careers. Speaking for myself I don't need someone to tell he what I had seen with my eyes. I'd rather have our current team than the journeymen money grabbers we had last year. So progress for me. We have several players I already really enjoy watching that I expect to develop further.
Yes of course it's the only way forward. We need to become self sustaining a better supported Crewe if you like. Whether Danny would still be at the helm is a different question. Last 4 games we have won 2 and lost 2 not exactly relegation form. We were atrocious on Saturday as we were in 75% of the away games I went to last season.
The thing is I didn't Want him back admittedly but he had my support when he took over again. I bear no Malice to him as a person but as a Manager he has had his day. What I witnessed on Saturday isn't progress, its the sign of a Man who as totally run out of ideas regards Team formations, Tactics and Motivational Skills.
I've been to 6 away games this season & I doubt I've seen us have a dozen worthwhile efforts on goal. It's been terrible to watch. Can't justify any more always until there's some sign of progress. Defo can't face Accrington Stanley next term....
I've missed a couple and have had more fun than the last 3 seasons combined. Admittedly that's comparing having your ******** kicked to constantly stubbing your toe though... Not going to Franchise FC as I don't give them my money but I will be back again.
I wouldn't go as far as saying you want us to fail. No one forks out good money for that but you seem almost there. Like I said your negativity comes out of every post which is a shame. I'd say too many ideas and formations rather than not enough. We have an unsettled side due to crippling injuries and Danny is tinkering daft too much. We best Yeovil playing 4-4-2 and should have gone with that again with Scowen replacing Pearson rather than trying to second guess how Donny would play. Like I said I can't criticise your attitude I hated Hill from the minute he walked in the door until he left having turned us into the worst team inn the football leagues. I couldn't analyse his performance as a manager basically because I didn't like it. Your the same with Wilson whether you see it or not.
We have differing views JC but I will do some soul searching and take on board what you say. Its just the sheer frustration of continually witnessing mind numbing displays. All I want to see some progress were heading in the right direction. If we do I will hold my hands up and admit I was wrong.
I know it is frustrating and my views on Saturday when I was frozen and bored and ashamed of our gutless display were rather more forthright.... It's not helping my dry chuffing January either.
I personally think Keith Hill, was not in touch with the Fans but was better than Wilson in tactics and results
I agree, Robins etc have all turned their clubs round with less than half the support and cash Wilson has had
