Dont dislike him but the football hes serving up to us since his return is absolute dogshite, terrible , boring passionless dogshite
I can't say I've seen any one poster on here who does nowt but blow smoke up Danny's arse. I think we all have our issues and misgivings. Some though are willing to see the mitigating circumstances, the context etc, and some aren't willing to be as patient as that and feel Danny's the wrong man.
I told u my problem in the previous post on this thread which u didnt reply to. I have no problem with wilson nor do I have a grudge see previous post.
Wrong man, Clueless,Tactically Inept, Awful interviews etc Danny is the right man if you want to be led into the Wilderness. Great manager1st time round but as they say "every dog has its day" Wilson's way past his best. But as Mr Whitey says Each to there own
Best manager we have had. Keep scoffing the magic mushrooms and i'll keep supping the holy water out of the River Dearne Let's see who ends up in the Asylum first.
Personally, i honestly can't make my mind up what i think about sacking Wilson. Purely because who the hell would take us on? Our history of recruiting and sacking managers is a complete shambles since Spackman (Apart from Ritchie and Robins). Also Wilson is still bringing players in so he is obviously backed by the board, so no matter how much those who want Wilson out, it's not going to happen anytime soon, unless he walks.
Built the best Reds team i've witnessed. Made the fatal mistake of trying to rekindle former glory days as has Danny Boy! Made the sensible decision to pack in the managerial merry go round at the correct time. Wilson should have followed him years ago. Just hang on while I have another girgle of the river water.
While ever he serves up the crap I will continue with my criticism If things change and he delivers then I will deliver my praise which would be deserved. Simple really
The problem with the Danny outers is that they feel that they have been lied to in the past and it has made them bitter and twisted. So now they meticulously log everything that is said, and they wait. They wait until the moment that they can claim that they have been lied to, AGAIN. And then they pounce, and their bile is irreconcilable and their sense of injustice increases with every new statement, and they will not be placated until they see blood on the ground once more. The problem is that their bitterness has made them blind to the fact that their sense of injustice is in their own minds. They cannot see that most of the problems this season are not with the team, but with their own inflated expectations for a team of kids thrown together after O'Grady was sold, and that it is just not possible for any manager to achieve what they are expecting from Danny Wilson and in the timescale they have allowed him, especially so as the board have agreed to judge him over a very different time frame. There is no point in arguing that the policy of sacking managers after a year has failed and that the fiasco of appointing Keith Hill's successor showed that the whole of football viewed the Barnsley job as a poison chalice. When individuals are so set in their thoughts and views, I find that the best policy is to leave them alone and hope that they will snap out of it eventually. Because their minds are closed to further debate and discussion, and they long to be proven right once again in their prophecy of doom. The years of struggle have made them negative, and their negativity is being exorcised by seeking to hurt the thing that they love the most. I am glad that I retain my optimistic outlook on the future and that I have not been tainted by the past. I am glad that my shoulder is chip free and that I have no axe to grind, or wrongs that I feel the need to right. I am glad that I do not confuse reason with excuses and I am glad that we have the manager we have, to take us through this hugely important transitional period.
Whitey im willing to bet that you cant get more than three paragraphs out of any of the usual saturday night "knee jerk reactionaries" "drama queens" & "opposition fans stirring the crap". You'll get plenty of "shites" but elequent and well thought out responses will be short on the ground.
thats the top and bottom of what we are watching now. we'll see if danny wilson is any good if he turns things around, simple as that.
What makes me smile is all those that rant about "Wilsons signings" I think you may find that our managers dont have full say on that matter....... Bobby gave us a little clue in his column in the chronicle.....when he said the club gave him a contract when he wasnt in the managers plans..... As far back as Shepherd the club were telling managers who they had lined up.....hence Blackwell walked out of his interview whilst i agree it gets worrying when you keep looking over your shoulder all the time at the relegation places and the football at times is not the best, but you are always going to get that with young lads learning their trade. i also think that the club dont want promotion this year i think they would be quite happy to finish mid table and same thing next season thus giving the young lads experience with a possible push for promotion the season after. They are aware that some of the team will be cherry picked over the next couple of seasons but yet the nucleus of the team will remain. Those leaving hopefully will return a profit thus helping to keep the balance sheet happy and a secure future for the club. I may be wrong who knows......either way .....you pays your money and you then accept the roller coaster ride thats Barnsley football club.
