Re: its the same down here really fella

The only way anything good can possibly be done in this town is if the seats become marginal, Labour are far too comfortable here and the leaders of the council, despite good intentions, just do what they want.

Unfortunately, completely dismissing the only other viable political party has done the town even more harm.

I won't be voting for Labour or the Tories.

Re: if Labour put a Donkey with ared rossette on it would win in Barnsley

No it isn't, not saying that there aren't some people like that as there are some who vote Tory because their parents did, but to make that sort of statement is an insult to peoples intelligence.

I voted Lib Dem last time, I voted Labour in the by-election and I'll vote that way again 1, Because I think Dan Jarvis is a good MP and 2, to stop UKIP as they are the biggest threat in this area.

    Re: Come on you Greens

Typical misconception of what the Green party is about. Have a look on the web-site.

    http://www.greenparty.org.uk/

Besides which, wind, wave, solar and other renewable sources of power make total sense. If you had the choice between heating your home cheaply with geothermal or solar energy or burning expensive oil or coal and filling your house up with CO and other toxic chemicals, which would you choose? And (if you are sane) and chose the cheap, clean option, why wouldn't you choose the same options nationally?

    We only have one planet.

Probably because the donkey wouldn't try to privatise the NHS by stealth or act in the interests of an elite public school educated 1% or be a racist.

i agree ark,its about time we had PR,too many people are voting for someone who ultimately does not have a voice,if 15% of the nation vote green and 15% vote ukip they all deserve a voice in my opinion.Labour and the tories have governed this country for near on the last 100 years and many people are dissatisfied at the way things have turned out, alternating between the two has acheived very little for most ordinary folk.

Seriously? UKIP? you must either be very rich, very stupid or very racist. To not see through them is like not seeing a Jumbo Jet parked on your lawn. Pretty impossible to miss?!?!

The Tories. See above, with added interests of the rich.

Labour had a wonderful chance to change this country and make it a better place for everyone, but of course sucked up to the bankers / dodgy employers instead.

Not voting? Bejaysus - there should be a none of the above option - but not voting? that's how c@ckwomble special interest groups get there way.

Not much of a choice is it, vindictive banker led Tories or incompetent banker led Labour.

Greens second to labour, ukip and Tories tied third.

Representative of what will happen in May in Barnsley maybe?

I live in Donny. Doncaster North constituency. Sitting MP, Edward Milliband.

I'll vote for him too. Lacks box office and a public persona, but impressive in person. Intellectual and considered IMO
