We clearly suffered from not having Cranie and Ramage and the youngster at right back has a lot to learn about tucking in when we are under pressure. We could have lost by more, but the two goals were understandable. Both of there goals came through MVoto and we all know his shortcomings. Maybe the bid we have in for a centre half will help. I'm more concerned now by the lack of chances created! We've got a lot of lads playing in a man's league for the second week running we didn't unlock the defence and only did it the week before against 10 men. I saw Bradford and Bristol and both of these seem to have so much more than we have now, and we beat Bradford convincingly at the start if the season. We are worse now than we were then! I'm a supporter of Wilson, but it seems to me that the only people doing well from Barnsley thus year are the agents. My support is not unconditional and it won't last for ever.
Seeing those games and the effort put in was just depressing, if teams in this league can pull off those sort of performances then we have no chance! There's not enough fight and desire in our play and I'm slowly losing interest. There's something wrong with the club deeper down so we can't just blame Danny but some of his decisions are getting harder to defend. Lose next weekend and he can go for me.
Now that I've seen the goals I'm a bit baffled as to how I overlooked Big Jean's culpability in my initial match report. I think I must be a little in love with him.
I said the week before as BFJ had not made an important error against Donny we would be in for a few next game. Nostradamus me.
He's ****. I'm still in shock that some people said he played well against Yeovil. I have a degree of sympathy with him for the first goal yesterday because he was under pressure as he tried to head the ball clear but what the **** was he doing for the 2nd? He just stood side on with Grigg and invited him to have a free run at goal. Should've just done what any half decent centre back would & get himself goal side
I think they see the player they want him to be. Strong, fast, dominant and hard to beat rest get than the player he is mistake ridden and easily beaten though a smashing bloke.
M'Voto should have no blame at all attached to the first goal. He did his part and won the header. Ali had brought the ball down and picked his spot before Berry had even reacted. It was schoolboy stuff. Can't defend the second goal as M'Voto's body shape was all wrong as the pass came into Grigg. Although he took it very well!
I think he's at fault for both goals. Only once in five Holgate league games and twice in eight of his games overall have we let in more than one goal. His first match of his ban and we are back to letting in more than one again. Definately missed on saturday.
What do you think he should have done that he didn't for the first goal? Do you think Berry has any blame for that goal?
A poor header I thought but Berry is also at fault. The defending for the second is absolutely laughable
His header should've been put to a far safer place than the edge of the box. And the second is just horrible defending. At least now I'm finding people that agree with me. Big Jean, for all his height and power, is not good enough. His reading of the game is very poor and he always makes me think there's a mistake coming soon with him. Hopefully as soon as we have our strongest defence available and fit he'll find his place back on the bench.
Of course Berry was to blame for the first goal he was half asleep and didn't pick up their man who scored
Now that you see the goals on telly it's cruel for players that are not so good. Before I saw them on the box I wouldn't have said that he was to blame for the first. I didn't need a replay on the second one though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
He shouldn't have headed it straight forward into the path of their players, in a dangerous area of the pitch. Much like a keeper if they can't collect the ball from a save should parry it to the sides to narrow the angle, that's what a defender should do.
