Sunday Sun mentioning Blackburn want to loan out their left back because he needs games after being injured and not regaining his place in the team. Could we be interested?

    1) We need a left back.
    2) We need experience.
    3) We are already after a player from Blackburn so him being brought up wouldn't be such a shock.

We don't need another injured player. We have enough of our own.

Can't we try and get one who isn't injured or trying to get fit again after being injured.

The signing players who aren't broken approach it's a novel one I hope we go for it.

Wilson track record on loan signings is not great. Signing players returning from injury not good for me. Jack Hunt and Joe Dudgeon are two that spring to mind in recent seasons!!

He isn't injured. He's been injured and looking for match fitness. I reckon he'd do a good job for us. He's not won his place in the team back since returning from injury, so whoever takes him for a month (to begin with incase he is pants) should get a player eager to impress and go back to being a championship regular. If he came here and did rubbish he'd probably never see a start at Blackburn again.

    I would take him.

If Blackburn see it as an opportunity for him to gain some fitness and prove his quality to them then they would probably want very little or no wage contribution.

He would be one of the most experienced players in our squad in the position we need it most.

Gives someone for Smith to learn from.

If he is a crock and it doesn't work out then send him back and we are no worse off.

Sick of being other clubs' academy/rehabilitation centre.

Get our own ******* players, and sink or swim.

We have a budget to work within. If the right player isn't available at the moment or the right player is Smith in the long run, whats wrong with a short term solution to steady the ship?

Half the team seems to have been made up of loan players since Mark Robins was in charge.

It gives us no consistency, and we get increasingly desperate to plug gaps when players go back to their parent clubs.

It's like hitting the credit card and the overdraft all the time. A couple of times a year is okay, all the time is less than ideal.

I'm not arguing with your logic that permanent signings provide more stability going forward, but unfortunately we have to be a little creative to plug the gaps as our budget wont allow us to fork out for permanent signings every time.

More players are available in the summer and therefore you get better value. Danny may want to get through to the summer and plug the gaps with permanent signings then. In the meantime we have Smith at left back...
