Took a deflection but a great run to score.

Great run but more down to stamina and a drive to go forward than dribblong skill as such. He ran a very long way with the ball but only ran past one player didn't he? Nobody put a challenge in on him but overall a good goal and a good performance from him.

The Port Vale defence parted like the red sea.

to be fair, they just stood and watched him run 80 yards without a single challenge. i'd have been spitting feathers if we'd conceded that goal..

It was a fine run from Lalkovic to take the defender away to give Pearson that space.

I didn't notice that but I wouldn't be surprised. Lalkovic will turn out to be the find of the season, after SSW I suppose. His running with the ball and awareness off it are far too good for this league. I liked the look of him in all those Chelsea clips and he is not disappointing me so far.

He is always trying to take people on and look forward rather than back. he was Jennings should have been

It was indeed but he still ran through the centre of the pitch the whole way, I doubt Lalkovic took the whole of Port Vale's team out of play with his run. Anyway it was pleasing that he did run at them and finished it off. Let's hope we can get a bit of a run going now and push up the league a bit

Great goal, but hes a strange one,

breaks up play and defends alover the pitch brilliantly.

But there were times in the first half when he passed and stood still, both me and youngun were urging him to go forward. A few time had he just run forward after passing the ball he would have been in acres of space in a good attacking position, he seemed reluctant to desert his defensive responsibilites.

Then suddenly in the second half he runs full length of the pitch and scores lol, then almost did it again :)
