Was it just me who thought their fullbacks committed 5-6 foul throws last night?

None getting pulled up by the ref.

Agreed. Foul throw every time. Bizarre that the ref never pulled him up. Though the ref was utter cack throughout.

On Setdy, the Vale right fullback was stepping onto the pitch when throwing. Not one picked up again.

See at least half a dozen in a game - that and obstruction seem to be removed from the laws of the game!

From watching the TV and attending games

it seems that almost every throw-in is a foul throw, since the rule states that you must not be on the pitch when the ball is thrown. Most players have at least their toes on the line and I've seen several instances where a player's foot has been entirely on the pitch. What's the Linesman supposed to be doing when throws are taken?

It's become one of those forgotten rules, like, as mentioned above, obstruction and shirt pulling at corners. Although obstruction is a foul anywhere else on the pitch, but seems to be perfectly legal when been done by a defender shepherding the ball out for a goal kick.

Yesterday was just ridiculous, as over half their throw ins were foul throws, but that fat linesman got everything else wrong too. But you do see at least half a dozen every match. I think it's just something that doesn't get taught to the kids in football school any more. They're too busy hosting the salesmen from Bentleys and Rolex.

I noticed that was more apparent than ever with the Port Vale players on Saturday - in front of the East Stand.

It's not just the opposition. Watch carefully and you will need observe that most of Nyatanga's are foul.

    Winds me up.

    Foul throws.
'Shepharding out' by a defender on an attacker near the dead ball line.
Ball outside quadrant on a corner kick.
Players inside the circle at a kick-off
ball not going forward then back at a kickoff
    Football in general really

Players and officials should sign-up to a charter that promises not to cheat the paying public, i.e Me n Thee ! ! !

And the one that winds me up more than anything, after I have paid over £40 for 90 minutes entertainment ...... GOALKICKS ! When I were a lad, if the ball went out to the left, you took the goalkick from the left. Out on the right, you took the kick on the right. These days it is a massive 2 or 3 minute timewasting opportunity for keepers to slowly collect the ball (or wait for a ball boy to mug it), dig a crater with his heel and place it down, before then deciding to WALK across to the other side to take it. Makes my fcking blood boil. And the fact that refs just let it go ....... Grrrrr ........ they have a responsibility to entertain. If you paid good coin to go watch your favourite comedian, you wouldn't expect him to walk about the stage after every couple of gags, digging his heels and taking his time to decide where he is delivering his next joke from.

Encroachment in penalty's. It was cracked down on a few years ago but really does bug me when three or four places are in the box before the bloke taking the pen itself.

All these pieces of cheating can be put down to one man: Septic Blatter. He has allowed all these to ruin the game instead of slowing referees to stamp them out.

Yes. Said this at the time.

Standing over free kicks to prevent them being taken quickly is the main one that enrages me. Why isn't it like rugby where the onus is on the team penalised to retreat. You concedes a foul, you shouldn't gain an advantage from it.

I've been told by a qualified official in one of our games that the FA sent out a notice regarding foul throws, stating that as long as the ball got back in play & it wasn't too obvious, they should let it go. Not sure if that was something he said to get me to shut up because I moaned at him constantly every time he should've given one.
