A very good side fighting for promotion. I don't understand the expectations of some of you morons at all. Unreal. Ffs get behind them and stay behind them. Had we gone and got a point today then DW would have got it spot on, but we didn't and at half time he tried to change it for the better. It didn't work out and we've been beaten away by a good team. We'll go again and bounce back on Tuesday. Keep the faith.

Great post mate. A win on Tuesday and things will not seem as bad.

Today was disappointing for everyone but still plenty to play for. I don't for 1 second believe that we have thrown the towel in.

We've lost away for the fifth or sixth time in a row.

So to call those who go and watch away, and who want to complain about this sad state of affairs "morons", is unfair.

We are in a league below where we have been for most of our recent existence.

So now our "expectations" are to lose each away game?

We lost. You advise Swindon are a "good side fighting for promotion". Is this their divine right? Let's accept automatic defeat then.

Although I am not a Danny out fan, your post is abusive and condescending.

I think the frustration is it keeps happening away from home and nothing's changing! It's alright saying get behind them but it's hard work finding anything to get behind when we play away just lately because it's been that bad.....Roll on Crawley and a change in fortunes!

    Well said. Losing is acceptable.

Swindon have not played in the second tier for fifteen years but losing to them twice is fine by me. You mediocre low expectation Reds.

Don't mind losing if you have a go at winning . For the fans who go away they want the team to have a go .

    Such a short sighted post.

I don't believe for a second anyone thought we were going to go to Swindon and win, but after two wins on the bounce and the emergence of a solid back four and midfield dynamos Pearson and Scowen, there was room for optimism.

Danny took all that optimism away not through the formation (playing one up front can be just as attacking as playing two up front), but through the tactics. We sat back from the off, inviting a team that are comfortable on the ball in every position to just come on to us, whilst having no outlet to relieve any of the pressure as the gap between Waring any any other Barnsley player was so wide.

He tried to change it for the better at half time in terms of Personel, but not in terms of our tactics. We never changed our shape, we didn't setup higher up the pitch, our midfield as a unit never pushed up, and we continued with Plan A which brought an abysmal first 70 minutes or so.

The two wins gave us some breathing space in the league. There was no way we needed to turn up at Swindon today, show them so much respect, and set up so negatively. That's what the majority of fans have taken issue with, not the fact we've lost, so keep your moron claims to a minimum. The players put a shift in under the circumstances, but we're never in with a chance.

Totally agree and saved me the time of typing up something similar. Sixth away game in a row where we've set up to draw and lost, scoring two in that run, one of which was a consolation at Chesterfield.

Some "morons" daring to criticise Wilson and the team after today supported them by making a 360 mile round trip despite the knowledge that we would probably limp to yet another tame defeat, me included.

This seems like a fair post. About the first one I've seen that doesn't blame the defeat on a change of formation/personnel.

I genuinely can't see how we could have gone to Swindon and played the same formation as against Oldham and port Vale.

I agree with this setting up not to lose is both frustrating and given that it isn't working counter productive. I don't want a change in manager but I don't want us treating the opposition like they are the Dutch total football team of the 70s.

The team that played Oldham was defensive enough with 4 centre halves and 2 defensive midfielders we didn't need to change things.

When fighting relegation battles we used our budget as an excuse. Now we've one of the best budgets in the league so tables have turned, it's made little difference. We shouldn't be losing six away games in a row.

Wilsons negativity doesn't surprise me at all.
Clearly it's caught the Wilson lovers off guard, such a come down from his magic season 17 years ago.

Im not too bothered about losing to Swindon. Just more bothered about the amount of changes Wilson makes.

He talked about having a settled team in the pre match interview and then makes changes.
