    when were in league 2 getting gates of 3-4 thousand. we are losing loyal fans now, not because we are losing but because of shocking tactics effort and Danny Wilson boring interviews saying we played well after each match, look at the man he can't motivate the players. sack Wilson now before it to late.

    Wilson's past record has give him that bit of extra time, and that could have been a good thing had he used that time wisely. But as things stand his second tenure in charge just isn't working out, and its time to cut our losses. If not now then at the end of season. I have seen nothing to suggest he is the man to take us forward. Time to stop living in the past.

    Flitcroft had the right idea when he guided us to safety. Setting up to win, with no fear regardless of the opposition. Any manager can do that, players in correct positions, with a up and at em approach. None of this sit back and contain ********.
    I thought footballers love to play because they enjoy the game, and enjoy winning?

    That's not an answer and there aren't loads of managers who could do the job, don't you see that's been the problem at Barnsley for years, employing mediocre managers with no experience of the league they are in and where has it got them. Low crowds and no money, they are the true problems

    It's alright saying you can't keep sacking managers but you have to consider the manner of performance as well as results and if you look at these in Wilson's case they are shocking. I can't remember all of the run up to the managers that have gone in recent years but how I remember it:

    Andy Ritchie - Possibly too loyal to players who got us promoted but also disliked by board who were itching to get rid - possibly a bit hasty to sack him and I think fans were genuinely surprised.

    Simon Davey - Always seemed quite a disconnected figure from the fans despite the memorable cup run, sacked after a poor start to the season, probably a bit hasty.

    Mark Robins - Strange time under Robins as we never seemed to be in a relegation scrap, but finishing lower mid-table every season didn't appeal to him and he allegedly walked.

    Keith Hill - Got lucky with a few signings - Drinkwater and Vaz Te, as well as the emergence of Butterfield, we were terrible after losing these players going from play-off contenders to a relegation scrap and we never got any better, didn't help himself by basically saying "what do you expect with the budget the club has" or words to that effect, would certainly have gone down had he not been sacked. Correct decision to get rid.

    David Flitcroft - Absolutely amazing turnaround given that we were as good as relegated when his mate got the sack, possibly too trusting in the group of players that, despite keeping us up, had not been good for the previous twelve months and their true colours reappeared at the start of the next season, panic buys and panic loans that didn't work, the philosophy that had worked so well for him at the end of the previous season appeared to have been thrown out of the window, was the right decision to part company.

    Danny Wilson - Doesn't seem to see what the fans see, we've had 14 months of sh*te from three almost completely different teams, refuses to criticise players, no real tactical plan evident in most games, ridiculous changes in team and formation for away games simply because 'we're away'.

    And what if we don't come through this bad run. What have you seen that makes you think we will improve.

    Is Wilson gonna wake up one morning and suddenly get us playing well.

    sacking managers in the championship didn't work because Alex Ferguson couldn't have done owt with our budget in that league. But this group of players should be doing better in this league,

    I just don't have the answers anymore, I just know that sacking managers hasn't worked and at some point we have to hold our nerve and stick with a manager long term.
