Well done ben it's the first and only thing thaa done right since you came - happy today very very happy Cue the 'reight fans' abuse but I don't care - correct decision
Clueless pal, just like the board. So what now, we employ another manager so the minority muppet section who have got their way are silenced for a couple of weeks. You and Kermits other pals will be on here in a few weeks wanting the next manager to be sacked no doubt.. How can the club move forward when sacking 1 or 2 managers a season becomes the norm? Impossible because the new manager will again want to bring in his own players and start from scratch until he gets sacked 10 month down the line.. Absolute Jokewell today.. I'm not saying this just because it was Danny Wilson, following relegation this had to be a long term stint and stick by the manager as the team develops.
I am not "happy", and certainly won't be rejoicing today. At the same time I'm not totally up in arms about the decision. I do wonder how many posters on here have been to every or almost every game this season, and indeed the second half of last season. Because watching us, for the most part, has been soul-destroying. There have been (in my opinion) insufficient signs of improvement to carry on the way we are. 13 months, 9 of them in this division, is not a long time for a manager to be in a job. But it should have been enough to see a slight improvement on the insipid, defensive-minded performances on the pitch that have been the norm ever since Wilson stepped into the ring again. Performances at Reading and Yeovil last season, and at home against Bradford and Gillingham this season have been the exception, rather than anywhere remotely near the norm. And with the budget and players at Danny's disposal, that isn't good enough. I am sad to see him go, but believe we have made the right decision. Whether it really is the right decision, we will see in due course.
Happy clap happy clap - let's stick our heads in the sand as every little thing is going to be alright ....
Happy Clapper... No just realistic.. This decision has to be one of the worst made ever at what is now Jokewell.
Sticking our head in the sand would be thinking that changing managers every twelve months was a good plan for long term stability. Its insanity and we keep doing it.
I get what you're saying Mario but how long should we have given him ? Morale has been low for a long time (players and fans). We haven't taken a single step forward since the start of league 1 so I think the timing is right. I'm not thrilled at the decision but I think a change was needed and hopefully we'll get someone in who can motivate the team and give us something to smile about for a change.
Its appointing the wrong manager in the first place that caused Wilson getting sacked. Make sure we get the right one this time and not just a guy whos done nowt for 10 years but the majority of fans love. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What are you classifying as 'done summat'? I dont classify failures at Bristol City and Sheff Utd in L1, a couple of OK seasons at Swindon and 1 good season at Hartlepool in L2 as reason to hand him a Championship managers position, as it was at the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wasn't talking about Wilson, just wondered what the criteria of having "done Summat" meant? I'd hate for you to be unhappy again
