    Not necessarily my preferred candidate, but (as I understand it) he was offered the job once before and I think he's available after being relieved of his duties at Middlesbrough.

    As I understand it he was asked if he would be interested, he said yes, but they decided to go with Wilson instead.

    You're getting confused with when we appointed Flicker.
