It was a brave decision but ultimately the correct one.

    Ye true

And your not going to get everyone agreeing with this decsion

But does it really matter what anyone thinks on here (No)

Where just fans who pay to go and watch the football - And this season its been extremely poor - Even the last few wins we have played very poor -

I wish him all the best but i am sure DW will accept its just not worked out

Hopefully, you will agree with them on their next appointment: "The Club can assure fans that a suitable candidate will be selected and in place at the earliest opportunity."

I'm afraid I don't share your confidence in their decision making skills.

I will support the manager when things are going well

If we play like we have this season under Wilson i will except a change

Yes i get you cant keep sacking managers but its going to happen - when will fans not accept that's the way Football works

No matter what you think football is a results business and can you honestly say our results and performances have been acceptable

Was it because we're 7 points clear of relegation or 7 points away from the play-offs?

"I will support the manager when things are going well".

Says everything that is wrong with modern football

Whatever we think, we have to get on with life without Danny.

I was opposed to his return, as I'm always sceptical about returning heroes.
It did lead to a high level of ticket sales in pre season, that weren't backed up with signings until just before the season kicked off.
I suspect that wasn't Danny's fault, but I have to say no progress has been in evidence as the season has gone on, so whilst I'd have
been in favour of giving him till the end of the season the atmosphere at the game on Tuesday started to make me question how long he realistically had left to turn things round.

With respect I think you'll find it's the way that football doesn't work.....

    On balance:

Clubs that have had more success changing managers every year rather than one manager for long periods. 1.
Clubs that have had more success with a long term managers rather than changing managers every year.... More than 1.

Results - given historical performance of relegated clubs from the championship into league one - I think the results have been no worse than the average....so given this was to be a season of rebuilding - I could accept it.

Performances. No they've been rubbish. And he kept picking Kane Hemmings. If they said Danny has been sacked because it's as plain as the nose on your face that Kane Hemmings is not a footballer - I'd have a level of sympathy. If they'd say Danny has been sacked because we're ok with the results but we want to be entertained and see more skill and talent.... I'd have been ok. But they havn't. They've bottled it.

He's done no worse than anyone else would have done - and he's brought in some cracking players who might actually do something for the club when and if we could get a settled team.

But they haven't. And I've lost confidence not in the manager - but for the first time since Cryne took over - I've lost confidence in him and his puppy Mansford.

Nobody knows the exact reasons but what is plain to see is that the performances and league table doesnt lie

Think that stat is more an indicator of how inconsistent a lot of teams in the league have been as opposed to how good or bad a job Wilson has done.

Agree, we're just one of them. Midtable inconsistent team put together almost in its entirety in a couple of weeks in the summer consisting primarily of kids. I don't know how anyone could expect any more.

That's why I can only conclude that it's nothing to do with results or league position. Had we won on Tuesday that would be four straight league wins at home and four points off the playoffs - anyone who wouldn't have taken four points off the playoffs in February before this season began is borderline certifiable. The football hasn't been great, but we've been beset with injuries and missing our best striker.
