its his ratio of duds to goods that have got him the bullet. 39 players have played for us in just over half a season, the turnover shows the cold hard fact he got many more wrong than right, and the main reason I've been less than convinced about a strategy and long term vision is the increasing dependency of our first 11 on loans and the overall inbalance ie too many wingers and not enough full backs. Despite the sizeable squad, the new manager wont take long to identify where the squad is still lacking cos we've been saying it for weeks.

Is there a list anywhere of all the guys he's brought into the club during his second stint? Off top of my head the only good ones have been Ramage, Cole, Winnall and Houriane.

And Ramage was a Flicker signing.

So he was allowed to bring in 30 players in a short space of time. Nobody can say the board didn't back him. It just didn't work out for him because of those only Houriane and Winnall of permanent signings have proven themselves long term with us. Hopefully the likes of Scowen and Lalkovic can be added to the list before long. Cole, Ramage and maybe McLaughlin were good loans. Hopefully Pearson and Waring will be added to the list later when they have been here longer. About an handful of good signings who have proven themselves over a decent length of time out of thirty brought in doesn't bode well.

We have had a complete re-build after relegation, of course he has brought in a lot of players. Doesn't mean he has been more or less backed than any other manager just means he was in charge during the biggest overhaul of our squad in years. Other managers didn't have to deal with the amount of players that left in the summer. Ok not all of the ins have been good ones, but some of them have been excellent and a lot of others im willing to give time. There are only a handful that I would write off already.

You have just presented some stats in a way that backs up your argument and conveniently missed out key contributing factors.

The arguement that budget/crowds are much higher than our league position?

No sorry I didn't mean that to be a sweeping statement for your entire argument. I just meant the part about 30 players coming into the club meaning Wilson has been backed by the board more than any other managers. Last year we spent our budget on players like Perkins, Dawson, Kennedy etc. The same budget is now spent on Lita, Winnall, Hourihane etc. Not like Wilson has brought in all these players AND kept everyone from last year.
