His record is good. Still fairly young in managerial terms. Would he want to come here? Possibly, possibly not after having a taste of Championship football. From the names on the betting lists he's the stand out candidate for me.
Well my first choice would be the dream ticket of Redders and Winnie, thats not going to happen so Rossler is a good shout.
Out of work and something to prove after his stint at Wigan. I don't see why he should be seen as unrealistic. I think we can get him. If he's waiting for a big side to come calling he will be waiting a while. He needs to put himself back in the shop window like when Phil Brown was willing to start again in division four. He will be loaded so money shouldn't be an issue.
Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Done a great job there under tight constraints, playing a positive brand of football.
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Good Shout. Nigel Adkins would be on my radar as well. Did a good job at Scunny on a shoestring, didn't work out at Reading but knows this division inside out
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Whenever I heard Adkins he always seemed to say good things about us too, I have a lot of time for the bloke. I don't think he'd drop to League One again though. We thought that about McPhail though, and more recently Ramage, albeit on a playing side of things, rather than managerial.
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe SkyBet. Hardly inspiring. Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Are you really going to pay attention to something that has Keith Hill and David Flitcroft in the top 15?
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Who is Richard Hill? The manager of a Tesco somewhere, or a NatWest?
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Manager: Keith Hill. Director of Football: Nigel Spackman. Defensive coach: Chris Morgan. Token irritating ginger 8astard: Gary Megson. Let's 'ave it! Magnificent. Edit: Goalkeeping coach: Kevin CackSmell.
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Maybe not, but im guessing there's not too many names not on there in with a shout.
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe SkyBet. Hardly inspiring. Mark Burton 4/1 Uwe Rosler 5/1 James Beattie 6/1 Craig Hignett 8/1 Neal Ardley 10/1 Sean O'Driscoll 12/1 Bob Peeters 12/1 Steve Agnew 12/1 John Still 14/1 Richard Hill 14/1 Terry Butcher 16/1 John Ward 16/1 Gary Mills 16/1 Keith Hill 18/1 David Flitcroft 22/1 Iain Dowie 22/1 Neil Warnock 33/1 Iain Dowie?? - hilarious Richard Hill?? - used to play rugby for Saracens and England. Turnbull's kicking for touch would suit his style of management Terry Butcher?? - and he comes in and immediately says "Sorry guys, I REALLY wanted to be here last year but I had my skiing holidays booked at Aviemore so couldn't manage it What a sorry bunch of impossibles and desperados. I hope our appointment comes from outside of this pathetic list
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Steve Davis isn't on there? Gareth Ainsworth at Wycombe isn't on there? I think the pool of realistic managers this time around is far greater than last time.
Re: Go and get Steve Davis from Crewe Both with very average records. Although at Crewe that's not a sacking offence.
