    Well said Whitey, in my eyes the club have once again shot themselves in the foot..
    just shows how little they understand most of the supporters

    yes the football wasnt the best, but i would say most had bought into the idea of buildng from scratch with the youngsters and felt danny was the man to turn it round given time.

    the club once again shows the lack of leadership off the field of play and make us a laughing stock

    ive said many times that Mark Robins told me there were better non league teams run better than us, and on the face of things i reckon hes right and nothing as altered.

    They should have given danny more time....

    For me the club and ben have got it wrong again.....

    I remember when Ben first came one of his aims were to fill the empty seats with in oakwell......and to get the stay away fans back......

    up to press its not worked nor as the attitude of changing short term fixes.....

    sorry barnsley football club but in my eyes you have cocked up again....

    Good blog as ever Whitey. First thing I thouht back to when hearing the news today was the Cryne quote of 2011, and it was fascinating to read your take up of events since then and our slow decline. Surely, like you say, not all of these blokes are bad managers and we just need to stick with one and let him get on with it? Danny would have seemed to have been that man due to the faith the fanbase had in him and his great experience, but sadly, frustratingly, no longer.

    Looking at the picture you use of Dannys smiling face in front of the Ponty End is difficult to bear now. He clearly loves the club and the fans, and apart from a few, the feeling is mutual, yet the ways have been parted.
