If I was drowning in apathy that's along the lines of what I would have written. When's the revolution and will it be televised?

If I had concentrated at school instead of dreaming of becoming a footballer then I'd have liked to write that. It's whats in my 'ead is that.

We've had some decent seasons over the last 15 years.

We've had decent spells - other than L1 play offs (which is still possible this year) I can't remember a 'good' season.

Yet another great piece that sums up my feelings, more or less exactly. With the appointment of Danny Wilson, I thought that the lessons of the years of failure had been learned, and that he would be given the time to build from sound foundations built around youth. It turns out that I was wrong. It turns out that Danny Wilson was just another on the conveyor belt of managers that will extend long into the future. It breaks my heart, and as I said last night, it makes my feel foolish that I was naïve enough to believe the nonsense spouted by the men in suits at Oakwell. Well said!

Cup run year, we battled relegation an all just to keep our arses twitching.

I remember when l first started watching them at 5/6 year old 1983-1996, what a fookin load of bored afternoons that was for a young un, apart from a close call with the play offs and 1 relegation dog fight on the last day of the season. I remember saying to my dad (all my mates were Weds or Utd fans) "How come we never get relegated or promoted , or get to Wembley?" As a young un that's all your bothered about, but down at Oakwell it was a new season, same teams except for a few new uns, we never did owt, FA Cup quarter final (which l wasn't allowed to attend) and the odd 5th rounder. Then all of a sudden 1996-2014 onwards - Promotion, Relegation, Wembley, Relegation, Cardiff, Promotion, Relegation.

I've enjoyed these last 15/20 years better than the previous 15.

Maybe the last 5 years have made me forget all that mate and I suppose I've never had it better seeing as my first real season was 96/97.

But under Keith, I was happy being bored shitless because I bought into a plan. Flitcroft not so because I thought he was given everything he wanted. But this felt different. Felt like they'd supported him to get shut of the old guard, start again and were making the right noises. I'm close to chalking f.ck on it - what's the point?

You enjoyed us going into administration and getting relegated twice to division 3 more than watching the end year of our greatest ever team under Hunter and the development of the promotion team which happened over a 3 year period. Nowt so strange as folks.

Wasn't that team before 1983? I also think our 1997-98 was the greatest, for obvious reason's. Administration was a bad spell but in general from a paying supporter point of view, yes l've enjoyed the mid 90's - 2015 better than 1983 up to the mid 90's.

    Excellent post Dyson.

I feel that the WSB movement can now be an important focal point (no, I don't mean target man!) for those of us who feel we've lost the club, and that it's become just another businessman's folly like all the others rather than being ours.

Stronger together with the club, maybe not. Stronger together as fans, most definitely.

The last 40 years have almost certainly been the best in the clubs history but its easy to forget that sometimes. 1983 caught the dying embers of the Hunter team which really was like watching Brazil.

Think you are glossing over 3 relegations 2 terrible seasons in league 1 then 7 years where finishing 18th was an achievement though.

Good post that pal and sums up my feelings pretty well, except the comment about the ground. I think it's best out of the club's hands to stop some **** coming in and building a supermarket on it.
