Elaborate, mate. For ignorant or daft folk like me. I can only sense you might be referring to those who are 'not arsed' anymore etc. No?
I think you miss the point. We were told our club was going to abandon its failed policies of sacking every 5 minutes and attempt to move forward differently. I know it's hard to see beyond personalities but it's not about individuals (though I do kinda hope we get Chris Morgan in). As you pointed out this morning this was a lie. We are going to carry on repeating the same mistakes. If we got promoted we would have the lowest budgets and crowds so would get instantly relegated/struggle for years so everything becomes pointless. There is no point in promotion. We would be better to stay in this league permanently. That's a ***** basis for running your club.
The last 40 years have been the most successful in the clubs history. So if you've been a fan in that period you are the lucky ones.
Thing is 'we' were backing the club and the manager as we were 'sold' a vision, a future, a plan. We went with a blowk that was brought in, did what we all wanted, got rid of the expensive deadwood and we went down, inevitably. All along the club hieracy spoke of blooding young academy lad, signing players (20-23 type) age group who were hungry and talented. This type of squad/team/player were part of our ambition. The club said DW was our No1 target to ensure the mid term future and a season of consolidation was OK to build on. We 'the happy clappers' didnt spend our time 'bairning on' at every opportunity as we'd not employed your choice of gaffer. Now the dust is settling the main gripe is (not just cos its DW it could have been any manager imho) that the reasons and rationale coming outta the club for this embarassing situation is all a load of spin doctoring ballax. But youve got your wish , I look forward to the shoe been on the other foot in Feb 2016
They are arsed. They're posting regularly on here. You don't do that if you're not arsed. I believe summat has gone off for this to have happened. I don't buy the excuses that Ben offered up yesterday, at all. But likewise, I can't defend Danny's performance second time around. I won't be ceasing to follow the club, not unless they appoint some lovely person I don't like. Ball's in their court.
I am lucky. Have some terrific memories over the years the last being the Flicker survival season. Since then www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwaEPTSRcSw
Who is being hypocritical CT? I'm still seething at what has happened but I've never had a go at those that wanted Danny out.
To some extent whinging is what this board is all about. i.e. people letting of steam, venting their anger & of course rejoicing in good moments & speculating about the future As Jimmy says we were given a new hymn book at the start of the season, in it for the long term, etc & most of us are baffled what out owner & CEO have in mind now. Yes, it's been a **** season Yes, the target was said to be top 6, but I think we all saw that as over optimistic & would have been happy with mid table & some progression in forming a new team & getting youngsters in. Yes, the above target was some way from completion, but we have had our top scorer out for 3 months & have only just added a few players in the window. What now? Given the interview with Ben I'm not sure if he has worked it out yet.
Not really, swansea , palace, etc i would sooner struggle in a higher league, try to adapt ,overcome than struggle in this league. Put yuourself in the shop window in the bigger leagus, more investment ,Wednesday for instance, Bournemouth, bigger crowds, better players, cmon lad has to be better
