Why didn't people offer the same support to previous managers?

I NEVER called for him to be sacked , I stated that I didnt want him appointed and I said why at the time. Was I sad to see him get the push ? No I was not, but I was sad that we had got rid of another manager, but I can assure you that you will find very little evidence , if any, of me calling for him to be sacked. I will hold my hand up and say I called for the Welsh tw at to be sacked .

Amusing? Flicker got the sack a couple of months after, without improvement, and Hill, well the less said about that pillock the better.

Point being, you're not very patient and always want our managers sacked, create threads demanding it, even just 9 games into a season.

    The prosecution rests.

2 managers, who were sacked shortly after. Things must have been for me to want them sacked, which thinking back, things were!

You again miss the point I first made.

You wanted shut of Flicker in September 2013 after 9 league games. You've wanted Danny out since day dot. You were one of the first to call for Keith's head too. Point being, we've either appointed three shocking managers (their careers to date don't back that theory up) or you're just an impatient bugger. I know which I'm going with.

And so, Alexander, the man you're tipping for the job now... will you want him out within a few months too?

I didn't want Danny out from day one, he wasn't my personal choice admittedly, but i supported him, i carried on going to games last season, despite knowing deep down it was our year for relegation regardless of who we put in charge. I have always stated that Danny was probably the right man for the job but appointed at the wrong time.
It was clear to see Flicker was over complicating things, which was disappointing as his simple up and at em attacking tactics worked for him when we survived.
And regards Hill, well that's too far back for me to remember to be honest.

And to answer your question, no.

I think it matters little in all honesty, pal. We could have all been united behind Danny and they'd still have sacked him. When have they ever given a toss what we want/think?

True, Mansfords interview yesterday just proves that.

I understand the point you're making, Whitey, but I can't agree (at least to the level you're arguing). I understand the need for consistency, but I do feel it's been obvious the last few weeks that it just hasn't been working. I also do think that a change around might be a good thing to get the players playing better.

I have had discussions with you in the past regarding Hourihane's recent performances, and you always point out that he's out of position. Is that not Wilson's fault? I'm not trying to take your words out of context or anything like that (and ok, we've got an abundance of central midfielders, and not enough in-form wingers), but I just feel a new manager might get the likes of Hourihane, Jennings, Cranie playing back to how we know they can.

I do find it odd, though, that he's been sacked less than 2 weeks after the transfer window closes, although there's always the loan window I suppose.

Hill upset the vast majority of fans with his interview.

Flitcroft was heavily backed in the transfer market & managed to add his own signings on top of players that had performed brilliantly in the first half of 2005. He was always going to come under pressure if we were in a relegation scrap

I can't disagree with your points, mate. I was merely pointing out to Offspring that he'd shown little patience with three different managers.

But if certain players such as Jennings start pulling their fingers out now Danny's gone, I won't look at Danny as the reason they were poor previously. Because in Dale's case in particular, that lad is failing through his own inability to maintain a standard of fitness belying a professional footballer.

It will though be very interesting to see who the caretakers pick tomorrow. I know George Williams is involved.

Is it not the job of the management staff to encourage players to get fit, and assure them that getting fit and/or having good performances will reap the rewards of having a consistent place in the team (something which you have previously mentioned regarding Noble-Lazarus not staying in the team after performing well).

The team will be interesting, indeed.

Some players - trust me - don't listen.
