We will all be getting our season ticket renewals next month and I think on current performances the clubs panicked and probably expected it to drop to bout 4k. New manager new optimism may keep a few bums on seats. All about the business.

They may have badly misjudged it.

Hence it being called a "business decision".

I'll have a big decision to make when the renewal form arrives. Which orifice on whose body.

We are no different to any other club in sacking managers , its just the way of the football world now.
Its the acceptance that Wilson has failed that most of you can't cope with and you'll forever and a day go back to Wilson getting sacked as the reason for any Barnsley failures in the future.

Couldn't be more wrong from what I understand most people bought into having a longer term plan than week to week rather than individuals. I was ambivalent towards his return myself but bought into the idea of short term pain for longer term development.

All this long term plan stuff is nonesense , and anybody who believes anything like that is gullible. A club our size can't afford long term plans without some real financial clout. Playing the youth players isn't a plan , it's just cost cutting.
Anybody who believes Ben Mansford needs to give their head a good shake , hes just a walking talking ******** machine .

    Great Post.

The Club scrambled around looking for a replacement for Flitcroft and plumped for Wilson which was disastrous.

The old saying "Never go Back" has sadly come true.

"Its the way of the football world now" is spot on.

If people can't accept it then fine, keep away from Oakwell.

I and others have been keeping away because I refuse to pay money to watch a load of rubbish.

Fickle supporters ? Yes probably but its how it is.

I can understand your frustration because the noises that came out of Oakwell certainly appeared to indicate a longer term plan.

Personally I take comments from the club with a pinch of salt.

Apparently we were deviating away from the use of loans but what a load of Bull that turned out to be!

Supporters may well give it all up and quit going as is their right.

Really? We have to agree with everything you say, or stop away? Really? We're all entitled to an opinion provided it agrees with yours?
I'm very surprised and very disappointed. I may not always agree with what someone else may say, but I'd never question their love & passion for the football club, or demand they stay away simply for not following a particular doctrine.

I supposed I'm pissed off because I'm generally not easily kidded and I'm bored of us just repeating the same mistakes.

Unless we get bought out , we will never buy our way out of this league . So eventually we will have to stick with a manager and give him time

A club our size unless we are happy to stay a League 1 club (or below) forever has to have a plan. So I guess our new plan is to stay a league 1 club forever and try and convince the gullible that sacking your manager every five minutes is somehow going to make you achieve success. The only way a club like ours can get to the championship and hope to stay there is by doing summat differently as we can't compete in terms of fans or money. So people happy with this approach are the real happy clappers who have learned nowt from the last 10 years and are happy for us to have no ambition other than being a top end league 1 club.
