I will blame the board, wilson was performing below standard tactics were confusing everyone results were poor and the football was some of the worst I have seen. But I do believe he would have kept us in this league maybee not by much. Why did we see the transfer window out let him bring blokes in the to get rid could have let him played the bottom side before. Just confusing decision by them. I think they thought keep wilson and when it comes to renewing season tickets it will be grim but even worse if we go down lose lose really unless we get someone in who can turn us around and fast.
I think they hoped the January window would provide Wilson with the boost to affect change. Perhaps the further worsening of the football on offer and continued lack of positive results, coupled with the fact that thoughts will soon be on season ticket renewals, focussed minds at Oakwell and so the trigger was pulled. Strange time to do it granted, but panic mode seemed to be in effect at board level. What a mess though. IF we went down, which I feel is unlikely despite being perfectly possible, I fear we'll be the next Grimsby Town, another club suffering years of steady decline without much prospect of investment. But I doubt we'll be relegated. I see us finishing roughly where we are now. But that in itself is a huge let down.
We need 6 wins to be safe I reckon. Christ knows where we'll get them seeing as we can as the away games can be written off for a start. 6 wins from 8 home games looks a tall order to me.
After what happened on Wednesday and the events of today I am very worried. I genuinely don't think these players have the heart for a fight.
Think the board made a mistake sacking Danny , hopefully they don't make another mistake with whoever they hire next
I think "made a mistake" is underplaying it dramatically. I think they have dropped the biggest bollock in all my time supporting the club. Rough as this season has been, there were not many of us worried about relegation before Thursday. I think it is now a distinct possibility and i am seriously concerned. It is not an over statement to say that the next decision they make could, if they get it wrong, break this club permanently. I hope they realise what they have done.
Wouldnt suprise me to hear our long term goal is a new housing estate the full length of grove street. After wednesday i wont believe another word that comes out of the club until it actually manifests in the physical presence. Im Sick of being spun bull **** to be honest.
