    From the BFC Facebook page:

    Hi guys.
I'm a life long supporter of Bristol City fc.of over 40 years.Just heard the news of Danny Wilson being "relieved of his duties" sad news indeed. He can only work within the restraints of the finances of the club.He served us well.
But I was very shocked when I heard of the appointment of "Sean O'Drizzle" at your wonderful club.
This guy is an absolute idiotic moron and I seriously fear for you. This is a man that says he never looks at the league table positions!!!.He talks of philosophies, but boy he is a weirdo. He almost took us down until the board got rid of him.Wish you all the best for the future.I hope he proves me wrong but I don't think he will. This is a sincere message.
People like that shouldn't be aloud near proud football clubs like yours the bloke's a asshole!

SOD is the embodiment of academy football -it's how you play and what you give not the result. And when it comes to proper football it all unravels

I spoke to someone at the club yesterday and regards SOD it isn't ever going to be him. Thankfully.

No thanks. Last time we approached him he said he wasn't ready for a return to management. One week later he took the Bristol City job. W#nker

That is a big relief Andy because appointing SOD may have been a step too far for me.

Hopefully, it isn't the same person who told you we were going to sign John O'Sullivan from Blackburn Rovers on Transfer Deadline Day!:D

Is it possible he was lined up, so "someone" at the club lumped a load on him to see the reaction on here?

People on the BBS carry no influence at the football club.

The club love to pi55 good money up the wall so I'd say that it was feasible.

Maybe the club should get on Betfair and lay the candidates that are definitely not going to get the job. Good way of increasing the transfer fund :)

Nobody told me we were signing him. I made that clear. I merely put two and two together and came up with five based on his tweets and his mother following the official BFC account. It added up at the time. :D

I can't say who I've spoken with, that wouldn't be fair, but they're about as important a figure at BFC as you could get. I am not yet sure if they're just using me as a tool to further their own ends, which is what I think Ben Mansford saw me as, initially. Time will tell I suppose, but aye, it won't be SOD, Warnock or some thundercnut like that. Obviously, they're not going to tell me who they want otherwise I'd be straight to the bookies and a rich man. But folk chucking money on SOD may as well set it on fire instead.

I think we've no other choice but to trust them on all this, and unite as one again once the appointment is made. Let's be reight, the atmosphere in Danny's final games was pretty toxic. The club (for me personally) have not angered me for sacking him, they've angered me with the manner it was done and excuses they used when doing it. It **** on everything I'd bought into. But again, perhaps I'm easily led and that's why they converse with me...?

Just taking the mickey, Andy old mate.:D
It's a long time since the club was as divided as it is now. People stopping going/refusing to buy a season ticket this or next season because Danny Wilson was the manager & his style of football, other fans doing the same now he's been sacked. Yet more disillusioned with contradictory statements on the plans & aims of the board. The new manager needs to be an appointment we can all unite behind, even if he isn't someone's first choice, for the short and long term benefit of the club, as opposed to selfish, self centred reasons for not getting exactly who we want.
I'm glad it's not my decision to make.

If it's not him, then the man it is is over 5/1 in the betting, please explain to the person who's ear you have at the club that if he tips you the wink, it could very beneficial to the club, because you'll pm everyone on here telling them who it is we'll all put £65 on him and get our season tickets with the money.

I really don't see any other option out there. I suppose we could all stop going, and perhaps do a Wimbledon or FC United? But if not, and you can't help supporting this club of ours, not much we can do other than suck it up and see what happens. Sad, but probably true.

You know that is not going to happen mate, it never has and never will, I know one who will never be satisfied with any manager until Warnock is appointed! If it is Warnock, I hope he signs Hassell back on as centre half and makes him top earner, because that would piss that poster off big style !!
