Apologies if this has already been posted: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 What would our thoughts be? Other than 'why would he?'
I was looking at his profile earlier and thought he'd be a great appointment. Didn't give it any further thought though as it seemed unlikely.
Hope it's not true. That would mean we are wasting precious time going after a bloke we have no chance of landing.
Agreed. Looks like we could get pubicly turned down again. He's a wakey lad though so that could be our pull. Maybe.
Would be a fantastic appointment but there is literally no chance of it happening. Swindon are a similar sized club to us, are on the up and I can't think we'd have the money to convince him to leave all that. Shows we're ambitious but will ultimately lead to us being publicly rejected, if it's true of course.
I don't trust the daily mail on any other kind of news. Not about to change the habit of a lifetime for this.
That would be a strange appointment. Surely he'd rather have a crack at managing Swindon in the championship. I reckon they'll go up one way or the other. Would be good for us but I can't see it happening. Rather we approached someone not in a job and not run the risk of public humiliation like we did when Hill was sacked.
Would be perfect appointment... But cant see it with Swindon flying high. That said not what situation is like at Swindon e.g. Finances
as everyone else says I cant think beyond 'why would he?' but if there is something we dont know about and he wants to get away for some reason - like he is desperate to move back to Yorkshire then if we could get him I'd be happy with that as an appointment but I really dont see it happening - oh and its in the Mail so large pinch of NaCl needed
He's done well with Swindon. Limited success elsewhere. Fell out with a few folk along the way. I don't expect anyone to turn us around this season now. Whoever gets it needs time. Like Danny did...
