Two more reasons not to go with Lee Johnson:- 1) He was prepared to sign Ched Bundy; and 2) He signed Mellis.
Keith Hill was setting the world on fire. Didn't succeed here. Sometimes, the least expected good managers are indeed good managers. Who expected Wilson first time around to be that successful? I wish I'd seen McCarthy (for us). I wish he was our manager. Man's just a legend. I saw Futcher, but not many memories, I was quite young. Never saw the others obviously, before my time. I suppose I should always say 'in my opinion' or 'in my lifetime' when making statements such as that regards Davis. I don't think he'll get the job anyway. I've only ever got two managers I wanted. Keith, and Spackman. Probably best the club ignore my advice.
you can't be seriously saying that you didn't rate Davis as a centre half, he was definitely one of the best we have had and I have been supporting the club for a long time
I saw all of those and although I love Paul Futcher more than life itself De Zeeuw was as good if not better than all of them. Dacis I agree was good but not that good
Watson Eaden Davis De Zeeuw Taggart Barnard Hignett Redfearn O'Connell *Ward Shipperley *Winnall eventually
I haven't a clue. It would appear that we've approached Swindon for Cooper and been turned away. Big rumours of Johnson now, as well as lots of bets on Adkins and Rosler. And, O'Driscoll remains a favourite with the bookies. I haven't a clue, but one of the above would be a safe bet. Maybe.
I think my preference is Davis, though I'm not sure he'd leave Crewe who have a reputation for patience to come here. After that I suppose I'm looking to Rosler. Genuinely not impressed by many of the candidates mentioned or those that are realistically likely to be appointed. Really sick of having to go through this sh!tty situation of naming names and dissecting careers/win percentages every 14-18 months.
I could be wrong, and could well end up looking a ***** in the morning if it's announced but I can't see it being Johnson. Firstly he's contracted until 2018, so we'd have to pay a fair bit of compo. It would seem mlre sensible to put that compo money towards the wages of a more established, experienced manager currently out of work (e.g. Adkins) Secondly would he come? I know we're arguably a "bigger" club than Oldham but look where they are and look where we are. As a young manager I'd want to get a playoff/promotion season under my belt then look for a move to the championship rather than the poisoned chalice that is BFC. And if he talks to Keef there's no way he'll be coming.
Wash your mouth out Futcher is in my all time XI with big Mick but the likes of Ian Evans, De Zeeuw, Tiler and Larry May run them close. Davies was good but I wouldn't rate him above Fozzy.
They are 8 points better off than Barnsley, this is the team that people are saying (at the moment anyway) that he is doing a great job with! They are less than 3 wins better than Barnsley who people are saying are having a **** season ! 3 WINS !!!! But it will all change when he turns us down and people then will say they didnt want him anyway !
I'll stick my neck out and say I don't want him. If those who wanted Danny out on our board think he's a better option than Danny then i seriously think they need help.
3 more wins that would probably be in the bag if Winnall wasn't injured. Anyone know the really reason why Danny was fired?
f u c k that boring, is this the getting it right mansfords on about, i give up, we always pick a **** manager and they never deliver.
