IF HE WAS WILLING TO COME would we really want a guy who has a team in the playoffs and would then readily dump them for us? Suppose we are doing well how could we be sure he wouldn't dump us just as easily
I can see your reasoning there but unfortunately, if we are to get a good manager with prospects then that would always be a risk. if Rosler came and did well how long do you reckon it would before bigger clubs come knocking? (Not that i want Johnson)
At this point I'd be happy having a manager that other people want because of his results, as we discovered in 1998 with Wilson and he had it reinforced again by us this week, theres no loyalty in Football management just 'buisness' decisions
I'm past caring, not in the, "I don't give a ****" sense, but just because wanting or liking a manager has no bearing on him being successful. Maybe if they pick someone barely anyone wants, he'll perversely be successful.
Davey bought the best team but was the most clueless manager of the lot - even out to around the same as everybody else!
Barnsley manager - do a **** job, get sacked and paid off. Do a half decent job and you'll end up with a miles better job.
