anymore if we tried! Get past transfer window, dispense with existing manager, approach an existing manager which at best will involve compensation issues. At the very least we have to wait to see what prospective managers club want to do, wasting valuable time and possibly alienating a perfectly capable but available candidate or risking them becoming employed elsewhere!
At the risk of upsetting Jase and his happy clappers.....it is HIS job to run the club smoothly and as the OP points out......not been done very well to say the least has it!? Sorry Jase, this ones down to you..... or if you are just the mouthpiece of Pat, then whats the point of your position? I liked Jase to start with, gave him time to see the results and today's current situation is where we are at..... looking like just hot air.....but to be fair to Jase, he aint the first and won't be the last to disappoint in his position. utter Shambles at the well at the moment i am afraid. this does not help
To get a short list though questions have to be asked whether managers are in or out of work. In fairness to Barnsley they've made no comment about any manager at all so far.
Well so far the bookies have had Johnson father and son odds on fav. O'Driscoll as also been odds on. Somebody on Tykes Mad says Adkins has got the Job because he's spoke to a relative of his and somebody on twitter says its Johnson from Oldham because he knows his father in law. Somebody on the BBS knows who hasn't got the job but he also doesn't know who's got it. So all in all I've come to the conclusion that nobody has a clue and all will be revealed in the coming days/weeks.
I will stop attending, shut down my twitter account, close the blog and have this BBS account deleted. That's how confident I am. But other than knowing it won't be him, I haven't the foggiest who will get it. And haven't asked. Tomorrow will give folk an opportunity to ask Patrick. Doubt he'll tell anyone, mind.
I think they care more about achieving summat with the club they fund, than they do me and getting me away from t'internet and Oakwell.
