The shortlist includes Lee Johnson, Craig Hignett,.... Paola Dick Canio, Shaun Derry Noel Blake and Nicky Eaden are thought to be on the Radar, meanwhile Nigel Adkins, Sean ODriscoll and Uwe Rosler are not on shortlist, I'll be honest I'm not feeling too confident at the mo

But for SOD rather hoping the Chron have it the wrong way round.

    Noel Blake?!

Save for Ronnie Moore, can't recall anyone taking more stick from our lot over the years.

Massively underwhelming. No ambition, just a business as usual list of candidates. So much for the theory that we've got more money than you think.

Stick your money on Hignett, Eaden and Burton. Big odds on them all and for me the most likely now.

There seemed to be some strong indication last night that the preference is for someone who is currently employed who has their team playing in a dynamic attractive way.

Surely it would be better to use the money we are willing to pay in compensation to entice an out of work manager such as Adkins to join the club.

I can see both points of view myself. Do you go for someone who is currently out of work and who's last job was probably a failure or go with someone who is currently achieving a level of success. I'm pretty sure whichever the wind blows money, within reason, won't be a problem.

I hope that we are just getting good at putting up smoke-screens and that there are some more heavyweight candidates interested. Most important decision for years now, as it is about getting us back up, or watching us sink, or stick where we are. Needs to be sorted soon in order for optimism to return.

Mindblowing, looking at the wrong guys and in little over a years time we will be looking for yet another manager.......

Lee Johnson: Best of a bad bunch mentioned.
Craig Hignett: No managerial experience and fell out with previous employer.
Paulo Di Canio: Wednesday link, facist and an hot head.
Shaun Derry: Leeds and Blunts background won't make him popular. 35% winrate nothing out of the ordinary.
Noel Blake: Lacks football league managerial experience for someone of his age.
Nicky Eaden: No managerial experience and wouldn't be linked to us if he didn't play for us in the past.

Nigel Adkins and Uwe Rosler should be choices one and two, so it's no surprise we don't want them.
