    ...how many on here are so obsessed with turning every Barnsley F.C. stone, looking forensically for evidence of malpractice.....inefficient transfer dealings...Ben ******** misstatements....crystal ball new manager leads...financial blunders.....director's influences.........computer player selections...manager dismissal theories......

    All that may well be part of the fun, part of the interest, indeed why it is fun and interesting.

    And yet they then go on to threaten that if they don't get a new manager they like, or if they find that they were so let down by DW's sacking that they can't quite get over it, they will leave BFC behind.

    Who do they think they are fooling?

    We get backpedalling on (sometimes) an hourly basis. None more so than from the many Bards of this Board.

    Some have had the good grace to admit it.

    When all is spoken, it is what happens on the pitch that counts.

    And the club is your passion. Don't fool yourself that you can leave it alone. And tell everyone that you think that you can.

    You're stuck with it.

    I have supported this club all of my life. I've never not done. I don't know if I could stop, despite apatheticism creeping in now and again. But some appointments I would be strongly against - Morgan being the most obvious for example. I can think of many others I'd prefer over Di Canio as manager, but I'm not sure I could turn my back on my club if he was appointed. In fact, I know I couldn't, and said as much.

    I don't think he'll get the gig anyway.

    It would be fun watching him goosestep up and down the touchline.

    We could have more David Bowie songs on the tannoy - he Nazied once.

    Fair comment in general terms but your wrong on my account

    I have never threatened to leave Oakwell on the grounds of what division we are in or what position we are in the table or because p!years get too much money etc etc the two occasions I have stated I would surrender my support has been the chedBundy affair and this Dicanio it seems the Evans fiasco was just that but the Dicanio affair is purely a family reason and a personal choice and him being an open fascist and is almost worshipped by a certain set of fans to this day.
    What everyone else does it totally up to them but I have made my position public and I will stand by that decision if the appointment is made.

    Ah well he says he is not a fascist.

    But whether he is or not is immaterial to me, given that his private views (he publicly states he is not so inclined) ought not to be my concern nor could I ever deduce them.

    If he were a bit younger though we could do with an out (and out) right winger.
